United Way is calling to action 1000+ regional volunteers to improve the quality of life in our community on  Day of Caring! 

Join us for one day of volunteering at local non-profits on  September 14th, 2016 for the single largest volunteer day in the northern Shenandoah Valley!


We invite you to create your own team online! Once your team is registered, invite your friends, collages and co-workers to volunteer with you! Volunteer registration closes on August 5th.

If you are part of a non-profit or agency we are now accepting your project submissions through our website until July 22nd! 

Looking to reach thousands of local residents in a single day? Consider sponsoring Day of Caring! Register your sponsorship by July 31st for placement on event t-shirts!

Society of Emerging Leaders Launch Party Register Online!

Calling all young leaders who are looking for ways to give back and make meaningful connections in the community!

Join us for a special Launch Party for our new program, The Society of Emerging Leaders on April 8th from 5:30-7:00pm at James Charles Winery and Vineyard! 


We invite our community's young professionals to our Launch Party to hear about all of the new opportunities and events for the young people in our community who are looking to give back.  All area young leaders are able to register online, even if they've never made a gift to United Way

 raise itself - It takes a lot of work from hundreds of local residents who run workplace campaigns to make it happen.

This year United Way NSV wants to thank some of our unsung heroes, those who ran the campaigns that helped us to exceed our goal.  We invite the campaign managers, leadership teams and anyone who helped make our local campaigns possible, to join us for a special reception, generously provided by First Bank.

Leadership Giving Reception 

Did you give $500 or more in 2015? If you're under 40 years old, did you give $250 or more? If so, we invite you to a special leadership society thank you event! 

The United Way of Northern Shenandoah Valley will hold a special Leadership Reception on Thursday, April 7th at the Winchester Country Club (1300 Senseny Road, Winchester, 22602) from 5:30-7:00PM

If you gave at a leadership level last year please RSVP to confirm you attendance. We hope you join us for the celebration!
Rubbermaid Sale
Join us in the Belk Parking Lot at the Apple Blossom Mall on  Saturday, April 30th, from 8:00a.m. - 12:00 p.m. for the United Way Rubbermaid Sale. This month's sale benefits Heritage Child Development Center.

Videographer Wanted!
United Way is looking for a videographer for to record a year's worth of impact in the Northern Shenandoah Valley! Help us capture Day of Caring, our 2016 Campaign and to tell the United Way story.
