Days of peril and your response

What would you do if you didn't have rubber on your wheels or gas for your car? What would you do if you couldn't afford to buy food, or if food was not stocked on the grocery store shelves? How would you handle no electricity? Could you survive making pennies a day? What if there were no jobs, and your job suddenly ended? How would you provide or even survive? What is your plan? The day is soon coming where these questions might arise in a very serious way. Did you know that the civilian labor force dropped to 154.9 million in December 2013? Did you know that Americans no longer in the labor force reached a record 91.8 million--meaning nearly 60% of our workforce cannot find jobs?

Couple this with the 47.3 million people on welfare as of September 2013; that 99.1 million, or 32.4% of all Americans were income-eligible for most federal nutrition programs, like food stamps and child nutrition programs; and that 16.3 million children lived in poverty in 2012. These statistics are provided by the Food Research and Action Center, a non profit that monitors poverty and hunger in the United States. These figures are based off of government reports. According to Fox news, some 1,500 people showed up on January 10 in New York City to apply for a union job. What are Americans going to do when the Federal Reserve quits propping up Wall Street and the economy through its "quantitative easing"?

The American economy is currently based on a house of cards created jointly by big money houses and the politicians they have in their pockets. At some point, the American people will no longer be able to sustain the debt being created by big government and someone will have to pay the piper for this long dance of deception. With elections coming this fall, it is better that Christian Americans get involved in the process of selecting candidates who fear God and hate covetousness before the parties can select them on their own. Otherwise, the crash is going to be even harder when it comes. We are currently in a mesmerized state of false security and we need to snap out of it.

Notwithstanding, we must lead by example. Romans 12:21 says, "Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." Peter and the Apostles answered in Acts 5:29, "We ought to obey God rather than men." Jesus said in Matthew 6:25, "Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?" He continued in verse 33, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Paul exhorts in Ephesians 6:20 to "speak boldly as I ought to speak." There are days of peril ahead. Only Christians have the way, the truth and the life. We need to start exercising this now that atrophy is not our downfall.
