What is the BFO?
The Black Fly Open Golf Tournament was founded in 1992 by Ken Smith (1935-2006) and has been held annually ever since.

When the English-born Ken moved to Andover in 1985, he brought with him a hefty dose of compassion, business-sense, and a love for the game of golf. It was his passion for golf and a desire to assist local businesses, through his involvement with the Lake Sunapee Business Association (now the LSRCC) that evolved over the years into a super networking event and fundraiser, which today is known as the Black Fly Open. The 2006 BFO was dedicated to Ken.

The BFO continues to bring golfers together in a fun, networking event that raises funds to help the LSRCC promote and support business activity throughout the Lake Sunapee Region.
