Dear Friends,  

 

As I was preparing to write this month's issue of Live Well-Live Ayurveda I couldn't decide what this month's theme should be.  I was starting to feel a little stressed because I'd been putting off writing it and as each day went by I realized that August would be over before I came up with anything.  Of course for me, when I start to feel this type of pressure I start to get stressed out.  In fact, I've been experiencing a lot of stress lately and have been trying to identify the source but it keeps eluding me.   

 

As I continued to look at some possible subjects for the newsletter I realized that I had a lot of information about dealing with stress and as I write this I realize that the reason I can't identify one source for my own stress is because just being human and living in 2011 is stressful enough.  The world is in turmoil and even though I don't watch the news or read the papers on a regular basis, there is a sense of uncertainty and negative energy that we all are feeling.  When I read about the riots and looting in London and other cities in England, I realized that if it can happen in country that prides itself on self-control and decorum the world is truly spinning out of control.

 

So how can we live in the midst of this turmoil and stay balanced physically, mentally and spiritually?  I hope the resources I  share with you here will be of value.

Explore how to eat for your mind/body personality to bring balance to your digestion using a wide variety of foods.   

 

Balance Through the Senses, Sat. September 3, 2-4 pm   

Bring physical and emotional balance into your life using your inner pharmacy.  Learn simple, daily techniques that will help you feel more balanced both physically and mentally.
