At 11 a.m. Saturday, July 26, the VBA will continue its tradition of sponsoring debates between candidates for statewide office. Incumbent Mark Warner and challenger Ed Gillespie will discuss their views in the contest for one of Virginia's U.S. Senate seats.

Veteran political journalist Judy Woodruff of "PBS NewsHour" will moderate their first debate of the 2014 election season. Woodruff moderated the 2013 gubernatorial debate at the VBA's last Summer Meeting. The nationally telecast news show plans to partner with the VBA again to live stream the debate.

It all happens during the VBA's 124th Summer Meeting at The Greenbrier.

The debate is free and open to the public.

Register for the Summer Meeting online or by submitting the printable PDF form. Both are available on the calendar page for the meeting at vba.org/vbasummer14. Register early, by July 8, and save.
