If you've had your house up for sale recently, then you know the stress I've been going through.  Not being a neat person by nature, keeping my desk decent has be en a terrible challenge.  Taking quite a financial hit, we managed to sell our beloved Bucks County home and have moved to a log home in Sevierville, TN.  My husband has always wanted to live in log home and I love my husband!  But I love it too!
My favorite Facebook pictures from this month!

Who doesn't love free books!  Jet Blue is giving away over 100,000!

Are you a writer?  Here's some great tips from editors.

Love this pictured idea for learning new vocabulary words (from Teachers Pay Teachers).

Did you know there's an app for clean-up?  How fun is this?
Marc ia's New Book!
Very excited for Marcia Thornton's Jones' new book to come out on August 25th.  Can't wait to read it!  Hope you will too.  Marcia and I started our writing career together about 27 years ago.  Our first story (which was thankfully never published) was called Plain White Bunnies about a pair of tennis shoes!  Our first published item was a greeting card that said, "Two Words of Advice now that you are a working woman-fast food!"  Our first book was Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
Hope you are excited about the start of a new school year!  This summer seemed to  go even faster than usual.  If I can help you by writing to your class, Skyping for free, or even visiting your school, feel free to email me here.  Hope you'll enjoy these back to school stories of mine (scroll down to see more) and I wish you a very successful and exciting year,
Debbie
