This Weekend
Preaching this Sunday
Dr. Tom Petter will preach and his sermon is entitled "Presence Manifest," based on scripture found in Exodus 33:12-17 and Matthew 1:18-23.  We will also celebrate the Lord's Supper at both services.

Thank you for Returning Your Faith Promise Card!
To date, we have received 75 cards indicating planned contributions of $5 33,135  to TCC next year.  If you have not yet returned a card, you may do so through the church office or the offering plate. To aid us in developing our 2017 budget, please return your Faith Promise Card by December 4th.
Additional Faith Promise Cards may be  found in the pew racks; Stewardship Packets are available  at the Connection Hub. You may also email your Faith Promises to the church at [email protected] .

Will You Donate to Help Pay for Angel Tree Gift Recipients Bibles?
In keeping with TCC's mission statement to be and make disciples of Jesus Christ, we want to include a Children's Bible with each Angel Tree recipient's gift.   Together we can make this happen!  We will order the same Bibles our children use at LTA. The cost is $14 each.  Please make out checks to TCC with "Angel Tree Bibles" in the memo line.

Advent and Christmas at TCC

TCC Advent Devotional
Advent, the first season in the church year, is all about waiting. Just as God's people waited for hundreds of years for the birth of the Savior, Jesus, we too wait for His return when he will make all things new, restoring relationships, our bodies, and even the planet we live on.
At this time of year, the world around us says "consume," yet Advent says "wait." By rehearsing the waiting, this distinctly Christian season is designed to cultivate our awareness of God's actions-past, present, and future, providing the perspective we desperately need. To guide us in the waiting we have created a devotional booklet, written by people from TCC, for all to enjoy and use in morning or evening devotional times. We encourage everyone to pick up a copy on Sunday at the Connection Hub, or use   this PDF version.

Volunteer Opportunities

TCC runs on volunteers! Please visit the TCC "How to Serve" webpage at http://www.tccwayland.org/serve.php for more information.   Here are a few current opportunities:

Additional Ushers Still Needed...
Our mission:   To welcome every visitor and member to the house of God!

What is needed : Ushers are absolutely critical in helping newcomers form their first impression of TCC. You help set the tone for the worship experience to come. You are representatives of God's kingdom.  You're not just opening doors, providing information, handing out bulletins or collecting the offering, you are making people feel welcome!

Could you help ONE  Sunday morning a month?  Please contact Debbie Wilson at [email protected] or 508-358-7717.

Volunteer Offering Counters Needed ...
Are you accurate and reliable?  Volunteers count the weekly offering (mostly checks for deposit) each Sunday, and we are in need of new helpers.  Offering counters work in pairs.  Contact Aimee Mury at [email protected] or 508- 358-7717, x303 if this might be a way you could help us.  Training provided!

Coffee Hour needs YOU!
If you enjoy having a cup of coffee while chatting with others between Sunday services, please sign-up (alone or with your Small Group) to host a coffee hour!   You don't even have to provide snacks - just make, set up and then clean up the coffee and tea ! ( Easy instructions provided - click here to see what is involved!)
Participation gives you and your group an opportunity to serve the Lord and is greatly appreciated by your fellow members.
Please sign up at the Connection Hub this Sunday or contact Robin Spinale, our new Coffee Hour Coordinator at [email protected]!

Missions Committee
Do you have a heart for missions? Would you consider serving on the Missions Committee?  The committee meets monthly to distribute church funds to missionaries and mission organizations that are involved with college, regional and foreign ministries. We address short term missions and one-time requests as well. The committee members correspond with these missionaries in the field to follow their progress, make sure their needs are met and their prayer requests addressed.  It is the committee's responsibility to keep the congregation updated on missionaries we support; to report on progress, activities, needs, and prayer requests.
If you would like to volunteer or find out more information, please contact Carolyn Lippmann, Committee Chairperson, or David Jenkins, committee member, at [email protected] or 508-358-5406 and [email protected] or 508-380-4015.

The TCC Food Pantry (Loaves & Fishes) offers assistance to those of TCC and the surrounding community who need help providing for themselves and their family. If you are in need, please feel free to visit the church office for assistance from the food pantry. The Food Pantry is now located in the basement at the rear of the sanctuary and is open on Sunday mornings or during regular church office hours.

We gratefully accept donations to the TCC "Loaves & Fishes" Food Pantry. Please find the collection bin on a table in the lobby stairwell. We only accept donations of non-perishable food and personal items.
