Laughlin, NV - One of the biggest challenges for every Chamber throughout the country is the ability to package an affordable group health Insurance plan for its membership - it is no different here in the Laughlin/Bullhead City area. Because our membership is made up of businesses and individuals in both states, regulations vary, carriers have licensing issues and inter-state compatibility is almost non-existent. We believe we have come upon a couple of alternatives that could help solve the problem for many of our members. We have invited James Kroft of Kroft & Associates and Judy Saiz, from Saiz & Assoicates to talk about the chamber's health insurance program and more.

 

Another program you may not have heard about is PCIP......

How about this as a best kept secret: A new insurance plan designed exclusively to address pre-existing conditions was created as part of the Affordable Health Care Act. Known as the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan (PCIP), the program was designed to make health insurance available to those that have been turned down in the past (or never applied) because of a pre-existing medical condition. PCIP is provided through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and is administered by the Government Employees Health Association (GEHA) in more than 20 states, including Nevada and Arizona.
