Santa's North Pole Mailroom on display at NHAC
Annual exhibit captures the enchantment of the holidays

Santa 2013-14 2
Detail from this year's
holiday display -- a life-size Santa!

NHAC is pleased to present:

Santa's North Pole Mailroom
A holiday season exhibit featuring
vintage Christmas memorabilia

Kids - Write a letter to Santa!

Designed to delight both children and adults, the charming Santa's North Pole Mailroom vignette was conceived and created by Christmas collectibles authority and dealer Beverly Weir-Longacre and features her own rare and exceptional collectibles. The wonderful holiday scenes that she creates have been on display at NHAC over many past seasons, and have included recreations of Santa's North Pole village, his workshop and even Mrs. Claus' kitchen! Bev resides in Marlborough, N.H., and is an officer of the New Hampshire Antique Dealers Association. She also lectures and writes on the subject of vintage ornaments. Her extensive collection of vintage ornaments and collectibles has been amassed over more than two decades and can be seen in the 2010 Christmas edition of Early American Life magazine.

As part of the annual display, NHAC will also have a "Letters to Santa" workstation where children can write and mail their letters to the jolly old elf. Proving to be very popular in past years, kids love to write out their lists, stuff them in the provided envelopes, apply holiday stamps including a North Pole postmark, and then drop them in the specially decorated mailbox headed straight to Santa!

NHAC's annual holiday exhibit is on view in the Focus Gallery at NHAC now through early January.
