EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT

Gatehouse celebrates FIRST Independent Life Program grad

As I sat in my van between my last few trips to Gatehouse for my belongings, it hit me: My daughter and I are moving to an apartment. Tears welled up as I realized this was a dream come true.

God used many of you as bountiful blessings in my life.  And I can never say or do enough to show you the appreciation or impact of what I've received. During my 15 months, Gatehouse staff, advisors, counselors, medical, dental and volunteers supported me beyond measure. What a beautiful orchestra of individuals in harmony with God's plan, so richly putting themselves out there for others.

Gatehouse staff, I thank you for guidance and challenge. You could have continued to make things soft and easy for me, as you did during the initial months when we so desperately needed time to heal. As growth progressed, you loved me with gifts of discipline, accountability and responsibility.  You helped me grow with new habits, advice and big eyes to see me become more than what I would have ever dared to dream.

This community will always be a part of me. I have healed tremendously and feel ready and able to provide for my children now because of all of you. Thank you to all who have contributed to Gatehouse; you are the sweet silver lining of hope for many as they experience God's love graciously poured upon them through you. I commit to sharing your example in others' lives as you have so generously done in mine.

-In Christ, G.

Congratulations, G. We're so proud of you and pray all of God's promises over your journey on this new path.  -GH staff

LETTER FROM LISA & DEB
A look back at 2016, focus in 2017
We hope you already received our holiday card. As a Gatehouse supporter, please accept this additional thank you for helping to make this community a vibrant place and program for permanent change. Here is our progress from the past year so you can see where your investment is used:

Critical in 2017

During the past 18 months our focus has been receiving women with the ability and attitude to work our program for permanent change, perfecting processes such as the intake model and cultivating collaboration through community relationships, such as with judges, automobile dealers and certified financial planners.

One great need is for more families to be adopted as we accept the final 32 families in 2017.

The next critical step is Early Learning for Gatehouse children. As we've shared before, the best way to  serve our Gatehouse children is by building an on-site early learning childcare academy. If you're interested in investing in children's education and care, consider The Gatehouse's academy as a way to participate in 2017.

We hope this glimpse into life at The Gatehouse helps you know we take your participation seriously and that we wisely leverage your support to benefit families ready and willing to build new lives. With 63 women and 90 kids today, we thank you for your thoughtful generosity.

Blessings this holiday season,
