GECC BUSINESS AFTER HOURS
NETWORKING WORKS!!!

At the GECC's Business After Hours on November 8, 2017 at the Crowne Plaza in Elizabeth, Sunil Gudhka, President/CEO and  Janice Acheson, East Coast Sales Representative of Uniform States of America commented on the number of great leads they got in less than 30 minutes!

Janice said, "I've been here 10 minutes and already I've gotten 4 solid leads". By the end of the event she had 8 and Sunil had 4 with appointments pending as well as a host of other connections that they planned to follow up on.

Sunil and Janice had just renewed their chamber membership after being away for a year. Rejoining was a "no brainer" said Sunil. "We know the value of networking", said Janice "and your Chamber events are some of the best places to find new business!"

Come network with us at our Holiday Social on December 5, 2017 at the Hilton, from 5:00 - 7:30 pm and experience the excitement and power of our vibrant networking platform. Like Sunil and Janice, you'll agree that joining our Chamber is a "no brainer".

Happy Holidays!

The IRC recently launched a new system for initiating citizenship applications online.  Start your citizenship application today or call us at 908-351-5116 X116 to speak with our immigration department or schedule a consultation.

The Elizabeth Pubic Library is accepting donations.
Please help us support our community!

Help check out hunger this holiday season with donations to a Food Drive being sponsored by the Libraries of Union County Consortium (LUCC).

Now Thru - December 18, Elizabeth Public Library will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items to benefit our local food pantries. Collection bins will be located at all four EPL locations:
100% of the donations will go to local food banks.

Even though experts say our economy is in recovery, many people in New Jersey have been left behind; low income families; struggling single parents; the elderly on a fixed income; the unemployed. Your donations will help to fill shopping carts and bellies.

To make this holiday season hunger free, simply visit any EPL location with a donation of non-perishable items. Groceries most urgently needed are canned meat and fish; canned soups and stews; peanut butter (in plastic jars); boxed pasta and rice; powdered milk; infant formula; canned vegetables and fruits.

For more information, contact Elizabeth Public Library at 908-354-6060, or visit the Union County Public Libraries web site at www.luccnj.org.

We are also collecting toys for Children's Specialized Hospital, and support the YWCA's Project North Pole.

Help us make the season merry & bright!

Pricing Your Products & Services

UCEDC
75 Chestnut Street

One of the most difficult decisions business owners face is how much to charge for their product or service. Understanding which price points motivate or dissuade consumers from purchasing is key to setting the right price.  During this workshop, we will focus on the following:

  • Types of pricing strategies
  • Finding your break-even price
  • Determining cost structure
  • Effect of pricing on your marketing efforts
The workshop includes an interactive activity that helps participants to determine their business's cost structure and how it relates to their current pricing.
