"Third Thursday Coffee Call" - December 17, 2015

Join us for "Third Thursday" Coffee Call. We will be meeting on the third Thursday of each month for coffee, juice, fruit, pastry, and networking at one of our businesses in Jasper county. Bring your business cards and share with those attending.

Coffee Call is Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and being hosted at the Bank of Monticello.

2016 ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING - January 14, 2016

Notice of Election of Officers and Directors. The Chairman of the Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce would like to make public as according to the bylaws, the persons nominated by the 2016 nominating committee to serve as Board of Directors and Officers.. The election of the Board of Directors and Officers will be voted on at the Annual Membership Meeting, January 14, 2016.

The following members have been nominated to serve on the Board of Directors:

All directors will continue serving their term.

Jeff Greeson - Central Georgia EMC, Dr. Lyndsy Holman - Heartland Clinic of Chiropractic, Tom Joye - Artisan/Farmer's Market, Dana Leach - Dana Leach Realty, Tony Lewis - Lewis & Malone Heating and Air, Monica Loftin - Jasper County Health Services, Carol Ann McMichael - Abbey Hospice, Kathy Mudd - The Monticello News, Tracey Nelson - The Bank of Monticello.

PLEASE SPONSOR A TABLE AT OUR ANNUAL MEETING...! We are asking for volunteers/businesses/merchants to donate a centerpiece for our tables at the annual meeting. The centerpieces will be numbered and we will have a silent auction for them. The money collected will go to the Monticello Community Band who is providing our jazz entertainment for the evening.

(2015) Citizen of The Year is now open.
The Citizen of the Year will be announced and presented at the Chamber of Commerce Annual Membership Meeting on Thursday, January 14, 2016. click here for pdf copy of nomination form

The person submitting the nomination must provide their own contact information as well as the nominee's. The nominee must reside in Jasper County to be eligible; previous Citizens of the Year are not eligible for nomination.

Entry forms must be completed and submitted to the Chamber of Commerce office at 119 West Washington Street, Monticello, Ga., by Thursday, January 7, 2016 for consideration.

COMMUNITY JAZZ CONCERT

Local musicians will get you in the Christmas spirit with a festive and upbeat holiday concert located in the main courtroom of the historic Jasper County Courthouse. Advance tickets ($5/person and $15/family) are available at the Chamber of Commerce and The Snap'n Turtle. Tickets at the door are $10/person.

The Polar Express is returning! The ML&J Fundraiser is hosting it's annual Polar Express event for the children and youth in our community. The event includes a picture with Santa, goody bags for the children and a train ride. Admission is a toy or gift for a child/youth OR a donation. Please join us in supporting this wonderful cause and don't miss the train!
