A Thank You from Kristine Brancolini, Dean of the Library
Once again this year, our donors came through during the 2016 LMU Day of Giving! Associate Dean Jeff Gatten and I matched every donation over $30 with an additional $10. We had 37 donors exceed this level. A record 60 donors contributed $4,688 to the library on November 17 bringing the month's total to $7,038.
You gave to all of our programs – The Friends of the Library (our general, unrestricted fund), Archives & Special Collections, the Undergraduate Library Research Award, and Library Programming. We have a full program of events coming up this spring and the gifts from our donors will contribute to these programs. This Day of Giving total is a record for the William H. Hannon Library and we sincerely appreciate your generosity!
Welcome Aisha Conner-Gaten

Desirae Zingarelli-Sweet Studies Undergraduate Research Needs
Desirae Zingarelli-Sweet, Reference and Instruction Librarian for Theology, is researching how useful several library and non-library sites are for answering basic research questions in philosophy and theological studies to help improve library assistance in those subject areas.
Your support advances the academic excellence of the William H. Hannon Library and helps to provide for all the great programming and events you can read about below. Please consider becoming a donor today!
We know finals can be a stressful time for our students. Stop by the library any time between December 6 and December 15 to check out our stress-relieving "maker space," including origami, legos, and coloring books!
Food for Fines
Now through December 16
We are still collecting donations for the Los Angeles Food Bank. In return, we will reduce your library fines $2 for every non-perishable food item. For more information, speak with a staff member at our Circulation Desk.

Next semester, we are launching a new storytelling program at the library. Four members of the LMU community will be invited to tell a brief, true story about "The Fork in the Road." If you are a fan of
The Moth or NPR's
StoryCorps, this is for you!

Wikipedia is one of the top ten most frequently accessed websites in the world. Did you know that you can contribute to its content? This Spring, we will be working with LMU students to explore how to edit and build content in Wikipedia.
Iggy stopped by the William H. Hannon Library recently and we couldn't resist the opportunity to ask our beloved mascot to strike a pose. Not surprisingly, this image has become one of our most popular Instagram posts! We are truly thankful to provide such a picturesque library for our students.
