A Cold Home

My husband and I purchased an old home in Northern New York State from two elderly sisters.

Winter was fast approaching and I was concerned about the house's lack of insulation.

"If they could live here all those years, so can we!" my husband confidently declared.

One December night the temperature plunged to below zero, and we woke up to find interior walls covered with frost.

My husband called the sisters to ask how they had kept the house warm.

After a rather brief conversation, he hung up.

"For the past 30 years," he muttered, "they've gone to Florida for the winter."

Snow Joe Shovelution Snow Shovel
The Snow Joe Shovelution Snow Shovel has a spring-loaded second handle. This changes the mechanics of shoveling, creating a fulcrum, and reduces back strain. From Snow Joe: " this back-saving solution greatly reduces the effort, strain and potential injury involved in shoveling, using the powerful muscles of your upper body to do the lifting and throwing, and sending lifting leverage to the lower hand." testimonialWe're Delighted to Hear from Families About Our Exceptional Care!

A Satisfied Client's Review:

"I have an aide named Fannie from Visiting Angels who is very good. She's here five hours a day. She makes my coffee and lunch, helps with a little bit of exercise, helps with the house when my wife is at work, and takes me outside in a wheelchair when the weather is nice because I'm unable to do a lot of walking.
I'm on oxygen, so she also makes sure I'm okay on that. She is very kind and goes out of her way to check on me and leaves me little updates if anything she may be concerned about.
Visiting Angels is very good. I have no complaints."

angelsAngels Who Soar: Celebrating Our Hardworking Employees

We are so proud of our wonderful, hard-working employees who go beyond the call of duty. Below is why our Angels are so special...

Susan R. has been a devoted Angel since 2016. Susan has historically been flexible and eager to take on more assignments, even in a pinch. In fact, she was recently willing to drive an hour from her home to do a fill-in! She has a great spirit and caring personality, even when given challenging assignments. Clients have always been impressed with how involved she is with their care and at how she continually looks out for them.

Shandel A. is a newer Angel who has a big heart and humble spirit. He's very professional, on time, and consistently keeps the Care Management Team informed and updated about our clients. He treats each client as he would his own family member and ungrudgingly goes the extra mile for every client.

We appreciate and thank you for your care and hard work, Susan and Shandel!

AboutOurCareAbout Our Care

Visiting Angels is a New Jersey-licensed, non-medical home care company committed to going beyond the "industry standard" to provide an exceptional level of security, comfort and peace of mind to our clients and their families. Our "Angels", all certified home health professionals , are ready to provide assistance with the activities of daily living to seniors, the disabled, those recovering from surgery, and to those who are simply frail. Our services include tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, errands, and shopping, to more personal tasks such as hygiene assistance, bathing, dressing, and grooming.

Visiting Angels ' in-home care helps make it possible for seniors and other adults to continue living at home safely. We understand how challenging the home care selection process can be. We're experienced in working with families, with loved ones resistant to receiving care, and with third-parties payors (such as insurance companies and the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs).

Visiting Angels' services help families spend more mutually-rewarding and meaningful time with their loved ones and also helps provide comfort and peace of mind to those who face the challenges of long-distance caregiving.
