This year's One Book Chelmsford selection is The Nightingale, by NYT best-selling author Kristin Hannah.  Copies will be available early this year, starting January 2nd, with a series of programs to follow.  More details on our website.  

Teen Highlights
 
Make it! Club: Mini Pinecone Trees 
Welcome to The MIC (Make It! Club), where you'll be able to make and take home an awesome DIY project, snack, or dessert each month. This month, we'll be making mini evergreen trees out of pinecones! Drop in while supplies last. Grades 4-8 and home school teens welcome!
 
Join us in the McCarthy meeting room for this month's art project!  

 
  
Our annual Gingerbread Festival is on Saturday, December 2. Join us for this fun family event where we'll decorate gingerbread cookies, play games, and make crafts! This is a drop-in event for all ages: come anytime between 10:30am and noon!
 
Storytimes end this month on Saturday, December 16th.  There will be no programs from Dec. 17-25, followed by a week of special holiday programs!

More Kid's Programs!
   
Saturday, December 9 at 10:30 am  
A storytime especially for dads and children ages 2 and up. Moms are always welcome. Snacks will follow the stories.
 
Tuesday, December 12 at 4:15 pm 
We will read "The Clever Baker", decorate a gingerbread cookie, and create a craft. Drop-in for kids in K-2.
 
Saturday, December 16 at 9:30 am 
Gwen Meins, youth coach and chess champion, will provide instruction to children ages 6 and older who have little or no experience with chess. Registration Required (opens 12/2) 
 
Saturday, December 16 at 9:30 am 
Demonstration class for children ages 6 and older who know the rules of chess and want to learn tactics and strategy. Registration Required (opens 12/2)
