Pearl Harbor Commemoration

The principal mover and overseer of the nation's World War II Memorial in Washington, D. C., retired Army colonel Kenneth S. Pond, is the keynote speaker at Southeastern North Carolina's annual Pearl Harbor commemoration on Tuesday, December 7. The 69th anniversary observance of the Japanese attack on Hawaii, which catapulted the United States into WWII, will be held at 1:25 pm, in Battleship Park, across the Cape Fear River from downtown Wilmington.
