Senator Terrence Murphy
Drops By For A Visit
Senator Terrence Murphy, an avid supporter of local libraries, dropped by to see first-hand how his $5,000 grant will help with the purchase of much needed, new public computers. During his tour of the library, the Senator met with Director Patti Haar, the staff and patrons, and learned about the library's programs and services and the impact they have on the community.

     Big Changes Coming        To OverDrive
As of November 2nd, OverDrive, your source for thousands of free downloadable eBooks and audiobooks, will have a new look and upgrades to make getting eBooks and audiobooks easier and faster than ever. New users can register online with their Mid-Hudson Library Card. Just visit our website, and click on the OverDrive icon.

Holiday Concert

Enjoy an afternoon of music and cheer with the Danbury Mad Hatter Chorus! This men’s chorus group will wow you with their a cappella renditions of your favorite holiday songs.

Polar Express Story Time
Thursday, December 8   1 PM
Kids ages 3-5, climb aboard The Polar Express with Miss Kathleen as we read the classic book in preparation for the holidays! All children will receive a special train hat and make a train craft!
Gingerbread House Decorating
Wednesday, December 14   4:30 PM OR
Thursday, December 15   4:30 PM
Enjoy decorating your own milk carton gingerbread house with tasty and colorful candy! Also have fun listening to festive holiday music! If your child is under the age of 5, an adult must stay with the child during the program.
Noon Year's Eve Party
Saturday, December 31   11 AM
Ring in the "noon" year with Patterson Library! Dress New Year's festive, enjoy dancing, munching on snacks, wearing party hats, and noisemakers at noon. For grades K and up.

Frank Marano of Marano Consultants in Danbury  discusses important details you need to know about Medicare. Learn about the changes in the Medicare system, Part A & B coverage, costs, and how Medicare works with supplemental insurance. There will be a Q&A period at the end of the workshop.

Wednesday, November 16  7 PM
The Alzheimer’s Association* will discuss behaviors associated with dementia and identify common triggers and strategies to help caregivers deal with these issues.

Ages 3-6 at 10:15 AM and ages 7-12 at 12:30 PM
Children will learn how to draw, paint, and construct people in action! This art class will stimulate children’s awareness of the various actions and functions of the human figure and is devoted to fostering children’s natural artistic ability.     

Wednesday, November 9   4:15 PM 
Have fun with friends and learn to create beautiful pieces of art in the Zentangle® style of drawing with instructor Janice Nastasi! Take home your creations and display them for all to see!
Grades 5+

Kids in grades K and up, use our LEGOs to show off your incredible imagination and building skills by tackling our monthly theme, or a theme of your own. We have a limited number of base plates, so if you can bring your own to use, that would be great! LEGO creations will be displayed in the Family Center! 

Thanksgiving Story Time

Tales for Twos at 11 AM and Preschool Power at 1 PM
Celebrate Thanksgiving with a special holiday story time! We will enjoy a Thanksgiving story, festive craft, and even a delicious Thanksgiving treat!

Come receive a beautiful henna design using handmade henna including organic and natural oils! Please be aware that henna will provide a beautiful temporary stain on the body that will last 1-3 weeks. Grades 8+
