Kids Discover Nature: White-tailed Deer
Monday, December 4; 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
For ages 3 – 7 with accompanying adult; $4 per child
Harris Lake is home to many deer. Learn about these beautiful animals with a story
and hands-on activities. Make a deer track to take home.

Wagon Ride with Santa
This Program is full, but you may add yourself to the
waiting list
Saturday, December 9; 2:30 - 4 p.m.
For all ages; $2 per person
Harris Lake will welcome a special holiday visitor this December!
Santa will take time out of his busy schedule to join us for a cup of hot cocoa and a
ride on our wagon through the back roads of the park.
Spend some special time with Santa.
Photo opportunities will be provided.
Prepare for chilly weather - bring a blanket to stay warm.

Nature Lab: Kids Get Holiday Crafty
Friday, December 22; 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
For ages 6-10; $16 per child
Bring your kids to the park for a day of crafting and nature while you take advantage of a few more hours of holiday shopping. The crafts your child creates will make great keepsakes or gifts for Christmas. Send a lunch, water bottle and holiday spirit. We will provide a snack, music and all the supplies! This has become a holiday tradition at Harris Lake County Park so be sure to register early.

Citizen Science Thursday
Thursday, December 14; 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
For ages 10 and up
Free but all participants must be registered through our online system.
Volunteer your time with our monitoring and citizen science projects. Tasks this month will be cleaning our boxes to prepare them for winter roosting and spring nesting. Owl and wood duck boxes are the most critical as they will begin nesting soon. Come prepared to learn and work as you contribute to our citizen science projects. Wear sturdy shoes, bring work gloves and water.
