Looking for a way to serve others during this Holiday Season?
The ChildCareGroup is looking for volunteers to sponsor families by providing unwrapped toys and necessities to families in West Dallas. Since 1901, ChildCareGroup has provided high quality care for infants and children of the working poor. Unfortunately, this year, a major sponsor resigned at the last minute and they are in much need of assistance. Last year, First Unitarian partnered with Friends For Good to provide these worthy families with the necessities and extras that make for a joyful Holiday Season. This year, they hope to provide 90 gifts for children 0-3 and 45 gifts for the 3-5 year old population. Educational and unisex toys preferred. Look for the donation box in Channing through December 12th.
HEY SCOUTS ! IMPORTANT INFO BELOW:
WE ARE PLEASED AND PROUD TO HAVE SO MANY CHURCH FAMILIES
INVOLVED IN SCOUTING
With scouting comes fundraising and we support that, too. With the growing number of families involved, we devised a way to ensure all families have the same opportunity to sell cookies, popcorn, or whatever product your scout group is promoting:
  • Each family may request one two-hour "slot" starting on the first official date of your sale. With advanced permission from the church, a table and chairs will be provided for you on the church campus. Exact location will be determined by church staff based upon other events taking place on the date you've requested. Slots will be granted on a first-come, first served basis.
  • To request space, complete any paperwork required/provided by your scouting organization or if none is required, email the date and time you're requesting it at least two weeks in advance Click Here to E-mail Children's Ministries. Church staff will get back to you to confirm or to suggest an alternative.
Thank you for helping us help you by following these guidelines.
