Program Day Focuses on Volunteerism and Giving Back
Robin Carroll, LLP'15 and Mark Deaton, LLP'15 explore the history of Volunteerism in the United States.

The morning instructional session was led by Susan Sanow and Nadia Trznadel from Volunteer Fairfax. They facilitated fun exercises to expose the class to volunteer opportunities and ended the session with a quick one-time volunteer project recognizing veterans for their sevice.
LLP Class of 2015 with Greg White, MSW, COO of Cornerstones, and Vincent Jenkins, Director of Embry Rucker Shelter.

Greg White, COO of Cornerstones, headed up the afternoon session by personally escorting the class on a site visit of the Embry Rucker Shelter that services individuals and families that are homeless. This was followed by an eye-opening tour of Connections for Hope, where participants could see the benefit and strength of community partnerships at work.
