Burn some calories before the big game
Super 5K Roadrace, 8:30am on February 5 at Novi High School
Take to the streets of Novi before the Super Bowl with the annual Super 5K Roadrace that starts and ends at Novi High School on Sunday, February 5.

The run starts at 8:30am and winds through Dunbarton Pines subdivision. All finishers will receive a medal, pint glass, headwear and gloves.

A portion of the proceeds from the event goes to the Novi Youth Council.

Get a head start on the soccer season
Soccer training with Michigan Jaguar coaches starts Feb. 23
Heat up your soccer skills this winter with Soccer Training sessions offered by the Michigan Jaguar coaches at Village Oaks and Deerfield elementaries.

Sessions run February 23-March 22 from 6-7:15pm for U8-U10 and from 7:30-8:45pm for U11-U14. The focus will be on skill development and strategy. Week 1 will take place Thursday, Feb. 23 at Village Oaks, while weeks 2-5 will be Wednesdays at Deerfield.

Enjoy a heart-shaped pizza by candlelight, 4-6pm on Feb. 12
Treat your Valentine to a fun, affordable and unique date night at Tony Sacco's of Novi from 4-6pm on February 12.

Each couple will create their own heart-shaped pizza, baked in the special coal oven and shared by candlelight.  Cost is $20 per couple and includes one pizza with your choice of toppings, an order of garlic rotolis and two soft drinks.

Chucks and Tux - Mother Son Dance
Dance goes from 7-9pm on Friday, March 10 at Civic Center
Break out your chucks and throw on a tux (or just one of those cute tuxedo T-shirts) and head to the Novi Civic Center on Friday, March 9 for an evening of dancing and fun.

The Chucks and Tux - Mother Son Dance goes from 7-9pm and includes appetizers, interactive dances, music, photos, desserts and more. 

The special female doesn't just have to be a mother either as grandmothers, aunts and sisters also are invited. Tickets are $14 resident and $17 non-resident. A special City of Novi tuxedo T-shirt can be ordered for an additional $5. Registration ends March 3. Register online at cityofnovi.org.
