Novi comes to life at Light Up the Night!
Fireworks will again light up the night sky shortly after 6pm
Kick off the holiday season in Novi at the annual Light Up the Night community event from 6-9pm on Friday, Dec. 2 at the Novi Civic Center campus.

Mayor Bob Gatt and his friend from the North Pole will start the festivities by lighting the holiday tree at 6:15pm. A must-see fireworks show follows Santa's arrival.

The free community event also includes a craft show, kids' activities and games, hayrides, s'mores, petting farm, ice sculptures, reindeer, live entertainment from Mexico Lindo Ballet Folklorico, Family Self Defense Martial Arts and Novi Middle School orchestra, and free food samples from local restaurants.

Families can also catch a shuttle to the Novi Public Library where they can enjoy shows by John the Magician at 7 & 8pm and Dan Dan the Choo Choo Man miniature train rides from 6:30-9pm.

Enjoy the holidays with the Novi Choralaires
Community chorus to perform shows on December 4 & 11
Make the  Novi Choralaires part of your holiday plans this December! 

The 41-year-old community chorus, made up of men and women from Novi and the surrounding communities, will once again host a pair of holiday concerts that appeal to music lovers of all ages.

Th is year's theme is "Songs of Food and Fesitivies," featuring music that includes familiar favorites everyone will recognize. The group will perform at 4pm on Dec. 4 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Farmington Hills and at 4pm on Dec. 11 at Church of the Holy Family. Tickets are $12 for adults or $10 for seniors and children under 12.

Fill up on pancakes at Breakfast with Santa
Buy tickets now for December 10 event before it sells out
Help Santa fuel up before the big day by joining him for breakfast on Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Novi Civic Center.

Santa sure does love his pancakes and still needs to get lists from plenty of Novi kids! Breakfast is from 9-11am and the cost is $5 per person. Children under 2 are free.

Children also will create a craft in Santa's workshop and take it home as a keepsake.

Bring the family to dinner at Moe's on Ten
Donations from free dinner to support needy during holidays
Help support those in need this holiday season by making a donation at the free dinner being offered by Moe's on Ten on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

This annual tradition is open to the public and will feature members of the Novi Police and Fire Departments as celebrity servers.

While the dinner is free, donations are appreciated as they will go to support area needy during the holidays.

The City of Novi also is providing free transportation beginning at 3pm. Reservations are required and can be requested by calling 248.735.5617 by noon on Monday, Nov. 21.
