According to Avery County Schools, more than 60 percent of Avery County students qualify for free or reduced lunch and 34 percent of children under

the age of 18 live below the

federal poverty line.

These numbers indicate a financial need in many families for the basic things that children need to learn effectively in the classroom.

This May Be The Most Insane

Bike Ride Ever Attempted.

 And It's Incredible To Watch.

Danny Macaskill is a Scottish trials cyclist with a serious flair for extreme mountain biking.

"The Ridge," by Macaskill's Cut Media, is a brand new film featuring this Scottish daredevil as he hops on his mountain bike and returns to the Isle of Skye, Scotland - his native home.

Watch as he takes on the death-defying Cuillin Ridgeline.
