One way to learn about an unfamiliar place is to step behind the lens. That is exactly what CMU students did this semester to learn about Cuban artists.

The class was designed for students to discover the unknown and was also offered through the Interactive Design, Arts and Technology Network (IDeATe).

Doctors Should Be Paid By Salary
In a JAMA Viewpoint article, CMU's George Loewenstein outlined the problems associated with the fee-for-service arrangements that most doctors currently operate under.

Such compensation schemes, he argues, create incentives for physicians to order more, and different, services than are best for patients. 
Five CMU Friends Keep the Connection
In 1964, five freshmen arrived at Carnegie Institute of Technology and became close friends.

More than 50 years later, the women's bond that was forged over studying and becoming young adults together remains strong...as does their connection to what is now Carnegie Mellon University.
