On a personal note, more than half of the Dinar Recaps Team is in the Tri-State area and were all without power and/or water, including one team member who as of Saturday morning is still without power. I feel very fortunate that none of us had any major damage and still have roofs over our heads.

Last night I filled two shopping carts with clothes, underwear, socks, shirts, hats, gloves and blankets. My friend and I will be bringing that as well as buying food and other supplies to Staten Island, which was hit very hard and a place we have connections with.

We are also going to do a food and clothing collection in our community.

Now is a good time for everyone to clean out your closet and drawers of clothes you have not worn in a year and find a collection place in your area. Last night it was 40 degrees and lower in many of the affected areas and warm clothing is needed by many.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Almost a year after the last American troops departed Iraq, Baghdad is changing. It is still tired and worn down after decades of dictatorship, sanctions and war. But outside the checkpoints and the blast walls that demarcate the International Zone where the American embassy sits, and most Americans and Iraqi politicians live, Iraqis are reclaiming their city.

U.S. efforts to reconstruct and develop Iraq have in many instances failed. Almost a decade after the initial shock and awe, Iraqis still lack steady electricity and drink tap water at their own risk, while poor drainage still leaves sewage running down streets when winter rains come.

Still, not all was for naught: two successful projects - keeping the oil industry running and issuance of a new currency - have enabled Iraq to meet its payroll and jump start the economy.

Tlar: It's very interesting that these committees have mentioned on many occasions that officials in the political ranks of Iraq are known to be corrupt and have been taking money out of the country (smuggling) and putting it in the banks of surrounding countries, yet they are never named and not one of them have been accused of any crime.

All the investigating committees do is repeat the same old statement: "in the coming days". Well I guess Maliki wants to be sure that these guys have plenty of notice to gather their things and leave. Where are their arrest warrants? Why have they not been publicly accused, replaced and then arrested?

I guess the Dawa party and the State of Law party are above the law. This falls right in line with Maliki's protection of the four State of Law employees of the CBI. Maliki kept them from getting fired and there were no arrest warrants then either. What about Sharistani? Everybody in Iraq knew he was corrupt. Maliki's answer, promote him.

BAGHDAD - morning : revealed the parliamentary investigative committee transactions CBI, the inclusion of some banks and personalities that unnamed, investigations auction sale currency forwarded its files to the Integrity Commission.

MP said in the Parliamentary Committee Haitham al-Jubouri (Brief Center for the Iraqi Media Network) on Friday, said that "investigations currency auction sale in the Central Bank of Iraq, conducted by the Integrity Commission, included several banks and certain figures."

Committee announced on the seventh of last month main recommendations, which focused on two main points; first relates to the information base for the mechanism of the bank in the protection of Iraqi funds, and the second relating to tighten controls on private banks' dealings with customers.

11-2-12 Mike: Chapter 7 is what we have over Maliki to form his government. In order to stop us from looking like we are standing in the way, remember Chapter 7 gives us certain benefits to do things, to move in and take care of things.

If you give Maliki Chapter 7, then you are releasing him from having to form his government to get the prize. That needs to happen. We need Chapter 7 as leverage.

The Kuwait thing with Chapter 7 is just Window Dressing. Kuwait has released them from everything they needed to do. Maliki negotiated all of that.

They have gone out and done what they needed to do and they did it. WE like it but you don't want to release them before they have their government formed period.

said Abdul Razak (News Agency News): There are indications that Iraq is undergoing evolution economic including increased oil production, which is now the second largest oil producers in OPEC after Saudi Arabia, which produces far more than (3) million barrels of oil will rise to more than (6) million during the past next five years.

"

He Acharalzubaa that "most of the political blocs oppose formation of a political majority government at the moment," he said, adding that "invitations to form a political majority government by some political parties, the purpose of stirring the political situation and buy time until the completion of the current session." This varied positions of the political blocs on the possibility of forming a majority government political, some of whom he and another supporter shows and skeptical in the survival of the political problems between the blocks intact.

It quoted the Directorate relations and media for Morshedi saying that a directive was issued to the owners of Advanced Baghdad Municipality and general managers to visit suites countries and companies participating in the exhibition and see the latest machinery, equipment and technologies involved in the work of the Secretariat in order to utilize them to the upgrading by the work of the municipal districts, artistic and provide better services to the people of Baghdad .

He added: Municipality of Baghdad is making great efforts to provide services to about (7) million of the people of the city of Baghdad, which requires the adoption of mechanisms and new technologies to meet the growing demand for services of all kinds, especially with the large increase in population.
