There is very specific rules of IMF and of the Arbil agreement that must be adhered to or simply put Dr Shabibi (head of theCBI) will not allow the RV. There is however some other components to think about: 1) no oil being pumped now for over 3 weeks in Kurdistan region means no oil revenues. 2) Iraq govenment bills are piking up. Tonight I will address questions you might have in regard to working with a personal banker, private banker, investment brokerage representative, or wealth manager, all of which may be available to you at your chosen bank post-RV. While I can try to answer general questions regarding banking professionals, realize that every bank has a different culture and structure. At some banks, the branch manager can make key decisions (such as negotiating the rate to pay on a currency exchange), where a personal banker and/or private banker might not be able to make such decisions. At other banks, private bankers will have as much or more authority to make such decisions with approval. So it will be important for you to familiarize yourself with your chosen bank and the roles represented there. Generally personal bankers open accounts and handle general questions/services like loans and checking and savings accounts. Private Bankers give red carpet treatment with clients who have more money than the average customer (anywhere from $250K-$1M or more). They are your liaison at the bank and will navigate you through the bank as you work with brokerage, insurance, and other professionals there. Some of your private bankers will also be licensed to sell mutual funds, CDs, and basic investment products. Investment reps focus on helping you to purchase investment products such as stocks and bonds. And finally, wealth managers (if your bank has them) will focus on the highest dollar client in the bank. They may or may not be licensed in insurance and securities or even attorneys. CAP... via phone to soonerpatriot 6:49pm EDT Folks - Just spoke with Cappy and he asked me to pass on that he too thinks this might be a last minute test of the group rate code function. He can't get to a computer at the moment, but said he'd try to join us later this evening. There is other intel though that he is following up and talking on the phone to others. So he's not fat-catting it. He's still working hard for all of us.
He just asked that we all stay grounded and prepared for this to domino soon. Whether this is a test or live rate, this is a fantastic sign that things are happening in a positive way.
