7-20-2012 Freebird: Doc just had a post that everyone should pay some heed. He is absolutely correct. A high rate would not be good for us at all and by that I mean 3+ initially. In actuality, on par with the USD is an incredibly high rate (as an initial RV) and will be history. Iraq has faced many challenges just to position themselves to reach that point. The IQD on par with the USD would be 1,000 times or a 100,000% increase, which of course has never even come close to occurring before in the whole history of currency manipulation or with any large fiat currency appreciation that derives its value from government regulation or law. Pray for a rate on par with the USD.
This is what the SIGR report, the CBI and Finance Committee all have referenced. Over time it could rise and I believe Iraq one day will have the highest currency in the M.E. but as far as an initial rate, anything much higher than that, it's more likely the larger notes will not retain their value. The numbers just don't work. The good news is, it will be on par (or just less than) the USD initially, it will be a REVALUATION and it will happen sometime before January. Hang in there, keep the faith and stay grounded.

Doc: Just when we thought it was safe to get back into the water the fantasy rate prognosticators have popped back up stating rates anywhere from mid $3 to $8. We would have thought the SIGR report would have ended the debate. We find it almost humorous at this speculation when the news out of Iraq continues to state around $1. Just yesterday Mahma Khalil, decision-maker of the parliament's Economic and Finance Committee, said "The zeros are removed for the purpose of increasing the value of Iraqi Dinars in a way that one Iraqi Dinar will be equal to one US Dollar," We have SIGR, 2008 five year plan, Shabibi, Shibibi's deputy, multiple members of Parliament and now Finance committee members all saying the same thing which is the initial rate will be around $1. With all the people in the true know stating the same $1 rate we find it impossible to give any creditability to these reported high rates.
Doc: We suggest everyone needs to be ecstatic with the $1 rate. We only see these high rates as possible with a true LOP first and then a RV. The reason for this is the economic impact of these high rates on Iraq. We should remember that fiat currency is nothing more than debt instruments of a particular government and only backed by that government's ability to honor it. Shabibi obviously understands this and is why he is looking for things like a seated government, HCL and chapter 7 issues to be resolved. Besides if it RVs to $1 we all make 1000 times our investment, however if it LOPs and then RVs to say $5 we would only make about 5 times our investment. We vote for the 1000 times scenario, how about you?

I have no information that it will NOT happen overnight or tomorrow. Read that twice! Several "Banker" types have gotten into some limited exchange situations.
Naturally, these people are all secure under the NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) and cannot or will not talk... period. Even so, we are getting some coded messages from a handful of these people who desire to share with their circle (ME) and I cannot disclose the institutions, names or additional information, but suffice it to say that none of this could happen if there were not a high confidence in a timely revaluation.

7-19-2012 SteveI: Ray said one of his contacts got back to him today. Here is what he said: Just got this update from one of my contacts. He heard it on Iraqi TV yesterday and he said it was in the newspapers too.
I didn't ask which TV station or which newspapers. If people want proof, they can research it themselves. I don't care. This contact has never been wrong yet. He said that four large international banks will be opening offices in Baghdad in late August. One of the banks is Citibank and the other three are from other countries.
Here's the good part: They are going to be operating with strictly the new dinar only. Not the current dinar. That totally fits what Shabibi has been saying all along. He also said that family members have told him that the local banks are ready to start exchanging the currency. They have the new dinar in stock and they have De La Rue machines too. The bank personnel are saying September 1 also. I will pass on more info when I get it. Have a blessed day.

All oil is traded in USD's and the US is the only one who can adjust the value of our dollar by printing or withdrawing currency, without quantifying the value. Oil is actually the 'money' in the world, now. Control of the oil is the one who has the 'gold' and makes the rules. Education is enlightenment and understanding.

MPs' delegation to report Erbil's view over oil and gas dispute

ERBIL (AKnews): A delegation from the oil and gas committee at Iraqi House of Representatives which is now in Kurdistan will report to Baghdad the opinion of Erbil government over oil and gas dispute, a delegation member said.
The delegation arrived in Erbil on Tuesday.
The delegation is not in Kurdistan for investigation, said Kurdish MP Bayazid Hassan.
He added it will just report the positions of Baghdad and Erbil governments over the disputes without investigating the oil smuggling charges against Kurdistan.

He appearance of Deputy Central Bank Governor Mohammad in sala (JD) that the Central Bank issued new regulations specify monetary amounts of hard currency which will be provided by banks across the country and adopted the Bank's financial stocks was approved 15 million dollars a day to banks that possess financial stocks estimated at 250 billion dinars at a minimum. He has been allocated $ 12 million dollars a day to banks that possess financial stocks estimated at 150 billion dinars at a minimum, while $ 8 million has been allocated to banks that possess financial stocks below 150 billion dinars. Experts are demanding the Justice Department to investigate about the frozen funds abroad
Thursday, 07.19.2012 1:00 Baghdad / Ahmed Abed Rabbo : demanded among competent jurisdiction, the Justice Department, the need to investigate to know the size of the frozen Iraqi funds abroad while assuring lawmakers the government's inability to know the size and location of these funds. and called the deputy governor of the Central Bank of the appearance of Mohammed Saleh, Ministry of Justice to speed up the investigation for the issue of frozen Iraqi funds abroad, pointing out that it belonged to a legal issue of Security Council resolution on economic sanctions on Iraq. Saleh (range): In accordance with Security Council resolution 1483 has frozen Iraqi funds in international banks to deposit these funds in the Development Fund for Iraq, which was established under the same resolution, indicating that the money section of which is ascribed to the Central Bank and the section of other Iraqi banks.
