7-26-2012 Bamajack75 (Dinar Vets): No one can tell you, without a doubt, how this is all going to all play out. I think most DV'ers will agree dropping the zero's leads to a redenomination, as Iraq has stated. Iraq redenominated in late 03' / early 04 with a 1 to 1 exchange, unless you had a Swiss dinar and it was 150 NID to 1 (SD). The debate here will always be; what will the exchange rate be for the notes that we hold now (NID). Some will say that removing the zero's means taking zero's of the face value of the notes, such as Turkey and Brazil, did. [BGG] From CY - Dr. Shabibi is ready to RV his money. He has been waiting on the Iraqi government to get its act together. Anyone that really knows what is going on knows this is the case. So far those taking this position have been right about the timing of the RV day after day while the "gurus" have been consistently wrong about their many upon many past predictions of an RV. It is always better to go with those who have been right about things than those who have not.
Jul 26 8:40 AM [BGG] From CY - Up to this point it has been better to look at the RV in terms of weeks or months. This is what I have been doing since April of this year. When the National Conference is called, it will be time to start looking at this process in terms of days or maybe even hours. I think Dr. Shabibi will give the green light to RV the Iraqi money soon after some political stability is achieved in Iraq.

7-25-2012 Mrfnhappy: The GOI's annual budget typically equals (in rough numbers) projected oil revenues. In other words the money (USD) is spent before they make it. Of course part of the budget is allocated to investment, but most of it is spent on salaries, projects, etc...This year the GOI stated that if there were oil revenue surpluses, that these would be distributed the people.
This article is a few months old, but gives you the gist of it. For the CBI, the benefit of the flow of USD into Iraq come through the daily auctions. The CBI makes 13 dinar per dollar sold at auction and this is a large part of how the CBI increases it's reserves.
There are no direct contributions to the CBI reserves from the GOI's oil revenues. My point is there isn't an over-abundance of dollars there, they all get used, and so the only way those dollars from the GOI help the CBI is via the daily auctions, the GOI doesn't just give dollars to the CBI if they have any extra (which they don't).

Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of the appearance of Mohammed Saleh said that »the project to delete the zeros Three of the Iraqi currency needs to be a new financial start because all accounts the new currency may be registered accounting books are different from the currency exchange which recorded the beginning of the year «.
He added that »the start delete the zeros from the currency in mid-2013 is a proposal came from members of the Finance Committee in the House of Representatives but the central bank held talks on the proposal and found that it may not start the project in the middle of a new financial».
