[michigander0131] 26 July, 2012 Discussed the Presidency of the Council of Representatives with Finance Minister Rafie al-Issawi and Central Bank Governor Sinan Shabibi and Chairman of Supreme Audit Abdul Basit Turki fiscal policy for Iraq.
The meeting discussed, chaired by House Speaker Osama Najafi and his two deputies in the presence of Qusay al-Suhail, Arif Tayfur the exchange rate of the dinar and the dollar and the relationship between parliament and the government and the Central Bank.
During the meeting, according to a statement of the Council agreed to form a committee to follow up with a key of the Finance Committee and the Committee on the economy, investment and financial advisor to the President of the House of Representatives to discuss the recommendations of the President of the Office of Financial Supervision and the Minister of Finance, which provides what has been agreed upon at the meeting on monetary and fiscal policy of the country.

News today has been limited but very encouraging. if you have read the blog and can see the forrest for the trees you will see maliki is trying to retract his earlier movement against Hashshemi or how ever it is spelled and is also getting along with other he has been fueding with and now they are buddies. All this is he is trying to cover his hind end ... The first thing he ask for this morning was to enact the amnisty laws he is pretty obvious of his intentions. Had a couple calls today that said they where hering information the RV should be emplimented by the last day of august. Baghdad (News) : Announced the national investment Commission Adviser Abdullah Al Bandar the whole intended to create seven investment areas "safe" in coordination with the free areas of the Ministry of finance, distributed in all provinces.
He said Al-Bandar (News Agency news) on Friday extended meetings were held between the national authority for investment and free zones authority to find a formula of cooperation mshtrh on the possibility of establishing a "safe" investment, whether commercial or industrial or tourist to boost investment and strengthening the national economy in the country.

Economic Analyst: rising world gold prices impact on local markets

Department of Commerce calls for support to join WTO

BAGHDAD / Conference: The Ministry of Commerce to request support and assistance from the U.S. side in completing the journey on Iraq's accession to the WTO. And Oharwazzar Khairallah Hassan Babiker in a ministry statement broadcast by the Information Office to the steps reached by Iraq's joining the World Trade Organization requesting support from the U.S. side to help the entry of the organization because of their of returns on the Iraqi economy as well as his call for the participation of U.S. companies active in the sessions of the Baghdad International Fair.
He said during the conclusion of the Committee on Business Dialogue US-Iraqi «that Iraq has a lot of opportunities can be exploited by U.S. companies to support the Iraq reconstruction effort and to encourage the private sector to contribute to the development trade and economic cooperation to be considered the main player and the main engine for the development of trade between the two countries ».

The Minister of Construction and Housing Mohamed's Darraji yesterday, Wednesday, strip his salary to the media and the mechanism of exchange for the salary, it is found that the salary total for the Minister of Darraji is (5950000) Five million nine hundred and fifty thousand dinars, is the salary total as seen in front of the media, as shown in the bar salary is deducted fourth of our salary for the purposes of almost Darraji service and retirement.
This is the first time since 2003 to now in which a minister in the Iraqi government to disclose his salary.

said Hassani, the banking sector is the foundation of economic development in all countries of the world and his mission is not to deposit money only but the financing of large projects for the development of the economy,
Stressing the importance of development to serve the national economy. He added that the investment environment of Iraq need to create a development bank a major shareholder with a capital of high-helps to fund all investment projects, the giant that need large amounts of up to billions of dollars, explaining that the foundation is through merging banking for both banks and small or large, as in European countries . He pointed out that most European countries have fought this experience and has achieved great success in the development of economic sectors and advancement.

Monetary policy and trends in the money supply .. An alternative vision

If Masaht this hypothesis, the money supply is an external variable exogenous variable. In other words, will be subject to double credit to the direct effects of the cash basis of the reference interest rate and balance sheet of the Central Bank, which both represent the goals of operational short-term monetary policy operational target which depends indirect means of operations of the open market and facilities-based deposit and lending.

The debate here will always be; what will the exchange rate be for the notes that we hold now (NID). [BGG] From CY - Dr. Shabibi is ready to RV his money. He has been waiting on the Iraqi government to get its act together. Anyone that really knows what is going on knows this is the case. So far those taking this position have been right about the timing of the RV day after day while the "gurus" have been consistently wrong about their many upon many past predictions of an RV. It is always better to go with those who have been right about things than those who have not.

When the National Conference is called, it will be time to start looking at this process in terms of days or maybe even hours. I think Dr. Shabibi will give the green light to RV the Iraqi money soon after some political stability is achieved in Iraq.
