Some lessons mean admitting mistakes; others signal unattainable goals. But the consequences of not imparting those lessons on your own kids could be more dire than ever. Unlike grandpa, who may have a pension and employer provided health insurance -- most children now need to understand much more than basic budgeting. Big brother doesn't have anyone's back anymore.
Kids will need to understand how to save for their own retirement, manage health care costs and even cope with diminished Social Security benefits. Sounds like this is jumping the gun? It's not.

It looks as if some in the Dinar community are very sensitive about Folks using their native language on some posts. Just let me say this, whenever those in question have done this in the past, the message was usually always posted in English as well.
Most of us are anxious and edgy, but this is the time to have civility and acceptance for all. I have always said, your reputation as a person is like your CREDIT SCORE. It is either GOOD, OR BAD......no in between. So, my message to all is, treat people with respect, and have some compassion. We are all in this investment together.

aci918 Not Happy with Wells Fargo I went to Wells Fargo to open my new NIB Checking account. The new account person had a problem and went to her manager (by the way she did ask if it was for the Iraqi Dinars) they couldn't fix it and said they would take care of it the next day and call me. Well I rec'd no call, so I called them.
I was told they talked to the District Manager and they only have 6 overrides a month and they used them up so I have to wait till August to get my account number and set up. If there system is that inadequate how are we to trust them with our large sums of money? *Continued*

The parliamentary committee on oil vote on favorite on privatize electricity sector law

Baghdad / NINA: Parliamentary Committee on Oil announced that the House of representatives voted yes on the law for the privatization of electricity sector in Iraq.
The committee said in a press statement delivered by its Chairman Adnan al-Janabi in a press conference: "The vote today on a law to ensure the allocation of electricity after the arrival of convictions that the Ministry of Electricity is no longer able to solve this problem.
He added : "The expenses which are allocated to electricity since 2006 exceeded 26 trillion dinars, but all what has been got was to increase the electricity volume to 1000 MW only.

Iraqi MP calls on Maliki's government to construct nuclear reactors to solve electricity crisis

BAGHDAD (AKnews) : An Iraqi MP has called on the Iraqi government to build nuclear reactors for peaceful use to end the large deficit in electric power in the country.
The Council of Representatives voted by majority earlier on Monday on a resolution made by the oil and energy committee about the privatization of the electricity sector in the country.
MP Mouhammed al-Khalidi said in an official statement issued today by his press office: "I call on the Iraqi government and the concerned ministries to begin the establishment of nuclear reactors for peaceful use to be an alternative and cover the deficit in electric power in all Iraqi provinces.

Iraq's Representative to EU discuss steps to implements Partnership Agreement

Baghdad (NINA) : Iraq's Representative to the European Union, Ambassador Mohammed al-Homaimeedi, discussed with the Head of Foreign Work at the European Union steps to implement the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Iraq and the EU.
A statement issued on Monday, July 30, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that in the meeting, Homaimeedi discussed also the upcoming visit of the European Commission's delegation to Baghdad.

Erbil (Rn) : The source of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources in the Kurdistan Region, today, Monday, that the number of types of vegetables and fruits that the department levied a ban on the import into the region to encourage local production, since the beginning of this year amounted to 20 species, as will be banned import of two types new vegetables and fruits to the region early next month.

Liberal declares its determination to amend the budget in line and the distribution of surplus oil revenues to the people

Erbil (Rn) : Liberal parliamentary bloc said on Monday that it will not give up its demand in the truncated portion of the surplus oil imports and distributed to the Iraqi people. According to a statement of the block.

Iraq recorded the highest rates of gross domestic product in the region

Twilight News : A report of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia of the United Nations (ESCWA), the rate of unemployment in the region is the highest in the world, Iraq's record with the highest percentage of gross domestic product.
The report predicted that the decline of GDP growth for 2011 from 5.7% in 2010 to 5.1%, pointing out that the Gulf States will see an increase in the growth rate to reach 6.3%, compared to 5.7% in 2010.
The report, which received "Twilight News" copy of it, that Iraq maintained the highest growth rate is 9.6%, while the other part of the ESCWA region, which includes both of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Sudan, Syria and Yemen, the rate of growth reached 0.8% in 2011 compared to 5.3% for 2010.
U.S. official to visit Iraq's military to resolve the dispute between Baghdad and Erbil

I believe we will be in a period of a lot of currency resets out of necessity because of the national debt loads, and the foundation of Bretton Woods agreement is crumbling.

THe reserves of the nations would include the IQD -- interesting that Shabibi (Central Bank of Iraq) said ealrier that the IQD would be a 'reserve currency" and the strongest one in the mideast.

[moneydr] I hope everyone sees what I'm seeing ... things are lining up beautifully. If the RV happens on Wednesday (as Blaino has said he believes will happen), that will give the Feds 30 days to collect big bucks from we new millionaires before the new fiscal year begins September 1. Sources at multiple banks, including one near me that I happened to stop into, have all stipulated they are ready for currency exchange this week (I was in a Wells Fargo).
Too much movement and too much lining up for things not to be pointing to an RV. Also, even though H said my intel from my Doc friend wasn't correct, funny thing is .. Blaino confirmed what I had said - along with the purported rates ... VND .32 and IQD at $3.50-$7. Again, all is conjecture until the actual lever is pulled and we have our RV, but I really believe it's here.

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network : The Iraqi government announced that it has not yet decided formally to go to Iraq to gain permanent membership of the WTO.
The chancellor said the government's legal Fadhil Mohammed Jawad's (Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network) that "the government has not yet decided to get a permanent membership of the WTO because it is not exporters of commodities, goods, and because the WTO accession also requires legislation that economic laws are many."

The Central Bank of Iraq runs a currency exchange and contribute to the Finance Committee in its work through the selection of designs and procedures for the currency as many have the power to control.
