Government: LJ: Today was a very interesting news day - been on the phone all day with Don trying to find as much as we could find that is going on over there... things are just kinda coming together on the government side where we are seeing a bunch of activity inside of Baghdad and the power players - it seems they are going to do this reform and seems like they are trying to work together while at the same time they always throw out that ultimatum that if this is any attempt to delay or waste more time removing Confidence is still on the table...really really looks like everyone wants to work together.....the Syrian issue has them really afraid of going back into a dictatorship....doesn't really affect Maliki as much as it affect all of Iraq and Iraqi people and they just don't want to see it...

Baghdad / Orr News: Demanded that the Ministry of Industry and Minerals Council of Representatives legislation laws for the benefit of industrial companies to contribute to the economic advance of Iraq.

Revealed the Representation of the Kurdistan Region in Baghdad, Wednesday, for receiving a letter from the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers is useful to close the office without a statement of reasons.

Hawrami: oil contracts concluded by the Kurdistan Regional contracts more transparent than many countries

The Ministry of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Wednesday, that the oil contracts concluded by the region more transparent contracts in many countries of the world in spite of pressure from the federal government, as seen claim the last export of oil through the Iraqi Pipes "in recognition of the results of such contracts." , pointed out that the revenue derived by them do not amount to four billion dollars.
The Minister of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Ashti Hawrami in a statement issued today, "The MDC says that the conclusion of oil contracts were without the knowledge of the Ad Hoc Committee which was formed under the law of oil and gas in the region," noting that "all contracts signed with the knowledge of this committee as well as modified . " said Hawrami that "those contracts transparent and unambiguous and published mostly on the provincial government," asserting that "those contracts, despite pressure from the us federal government more transparent than the oil contracts in many countries of the world."

8-14-2012 Austin-Powers-For-PM: Hey, all of us have to wonder if this will really ever happen. However, we also have to look at what happens if it doesn't. What happens to Iraq if they continue to struggle at their artificial rate that grossly undervalues their country's wealth?
What happens to the Euro if there is not a massive amount of liquidity injected into the system? And most of all, what happens to the U.S. when we approach Greek-like debt loads in 4-5 years that we can never pay back except with a massive printing press that will virtually devalue most every investment vehicle in the world?
It's not a pretty picture and the IMF has known about this for years and years. The individuals who have been tasked with getting our global finances back on an even keel (or something close) know that only a radical solution exists to prevent another Great Depression that could have military consequences that would make WWII look like patty cake. Keep looking at the big picture and keep asking yourself "What happens if NOTHING happens?"
