(*)[amadden] Okay, sorry to have kept you up, but the call was not much news it was more of a confirmations of things that have been put out, he said that there will be at least 3 more meetings over the next week and he feel strong that after these meeting, they will start in on the RV.
He expects it sometime in the last two weeks of August, but it could go any time before, but feels more strongly on the last two weeks of August. The word he has it will not go pass September 1st.
He also said that everything that had to be done in Iraq has been accomplished as of yesterday. And that the powers are all within the powers of the CBI's banks, and other things that are involved with this Pyramid type thing call the plan of the RV.
So it was not much info that I had not already heard on Bloomberg, but what it does is confirms it up. He is very excited and says we are at the end of our ride, so please treat as rumor until we get the word.
That is all I have folks, wish it was more, but I do feel he had more to say but was not in a position to say everything he wanted to, so I may get another call.

8-3-2012 Hammerman: Several Iraqi leaders were on Iraqi TV today & said that Iraq would be revaluing their currency in the very near future & it would be stronger than the pre-Seddam rate. So, that has to be at least a better value than $2.72.
I received phone calls from Iraq from 2 different people that Mailiki, Shabibi & 3 ministers were on Iraq TV & they strongly indicated that the people on the TV were the newly seated GOI. Bloomberg stated today that there would be a revaluation of currencies & a global realignment in the near future.
I had a phone call from China, Madam Wu, & before I was disconnected, I got that the process was moving forward to the end of the line. My feeling, my gut is we will not see this until after Ramadan, I would look between Aug. 25th and Sept. 25th.
Intel says the complete opposite, that it will happen any minute. Everything is moving in a good manner, info from Iraq is great, the news is splendid.

If you solely look at historic large currency appreciations, even a 20% increase, runs the risk of having negative long term effects. A 100,000% increase is not even something regarded as possible by most economists.

If it were anything other than an opportunity for the US and other countries to make money from it, what do you think would happen if the IQD RV/RI/RD and those entities made huge amounts of monies off of it all the while the general public, such as us here, knew nothing about it??
Hence, the reason why we have been allowed to participate in a "currency speculation" of a foreign currency that oh, just so happens to be the country that the US has occupied for the last 22 years give or take.

From Nowsthetime: THE GREENBRIER, et al -- Sometimes even no response is still a response
Several days ago, I reported on the difficulty I had encountered in trying to make a reservation at The Greenbrier Hotel, a secluded luxury resort, a short drive from DC, in the hills of West Virginia. First, just a quick recap for those who may not have seen the earlier post:
The woman at the Reservations Desk politely told me that nope -- they were completely filled up -- out of the hundreds of rooms in the main house and numerous guest cottages scattered around the estate, there was absolutely nothing available until Aug 5. "Well heck, we're so busy tending to everyone's needs that we felt we couldn't even afford to let our hired help go home in the evenings. We've got 'em doubled up in broom closets and cots out on the veranda. We're filled up mister. That's all there is to it."

Parliament criticizes the wording of the supplementary budget

Baghdad / term : member of the Finance Committee criticized Hussain Yasiri, the supplementary budget, noting that they were formulated in a manner inconsistent with the nature of the Financial Administration Act which provides for the ask when the occurrence of an emergency in the country.
Yasiri said, according to (Olokulhalabaria news): The Financial Management Law No. (95) for the year (2004) confirmed that the supplementary budget are formulated in the event of deterioration in the economic situation of the country, explaining that the amendment of the paragraphs of the budget (2012) by the House of Representatives passed put the supplementary budget when you get financial surplus in the revenues from oil.

The Council of Ministers, has revealed, his intention to hand over the final accounts for budget years 2004 - 2010 to the House of Representatives, noting that the final accounts for 2011 have not submitted during the current year not completed by the Ministry of Finance.

It started late last year with ExxonMobil, then a month ago Chevron joined in, followed this week by Total and now Gazprom. That's four of the world's biggest international oil and gas giants that have defied Baghdad to sign up for concessions to drill for oil in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq.
Baghdad has blacklisted the oil giants from future bidding rounds for southern fields, and has condemned the sweet deals that the Kurds have been offering as in violation of the Iraqi constitution.
"We will punish companies who sign deals without the approval of the central government and the oil ministry," said an oil ministry spokesman, according to Reuters. "Unless Total reviews the deals, it will face severe consequences... Total will be blacklisted for violating Iraqi law."

Kurds to stop oil exports in month unless Baghdad pays

LONDON (Reuters) : Iraq's Kurdistan region said its planned resumption of oil exports may last only to August 31 if the central government does not pay arrears to foreign companies, meaning the rise in Iraq's overall shipments to world markets could be brief.
The semi-autonomous region said on Wednesday it would restart exports this week in a bid to end the payments dispute with Baghdad. The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) says the central government has withheld payment of $1.5 billion.
Natural Resources Minister Ashti Hawrami gave the end-August deadline in a letter posted on the KRG's website and addressed to oil companies DNO, Genel Energy and Kar Group.

Kurdistan resumes oil exports after a break of more than four months
