Twilight News : revealed the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO), Saturday, from higher oil exports from Iraq to 2.565 million barrels per day on average in the past month of August.

The head of SOMO Falah al-Amiri said in a statement reported for " Twilight News "that" exports from Basra in the south reached 2.252 million barrels per day in August, while recorded shipments of North Kirkuk 313 thousand barrels per day inclusive about six thousand barrels a day trucked to Jordan " .

Baghdad/JD: The Central Bank called on traders and industrialists and other productive segments of dollar buying from banks participating in the foreign exchange auction price 118.9 dinars to the dollar.

The Central Bank said in a press release received/JD/copy: involved in the activity of private Iraqi traders, industrialists and other productive segments who import goods and services and inputs and supplies various development, submission to the private banks to participate in the auction of foreign currency to finance their imports through conversion or opening documentary credits and a commitment to exchange rate $ 1189 USD per dinar and respected ".

He said access to the dollar "after bringing documents evidencing their fundamentalist import and to customary international standard credits and documentary remittances and instructions issued by the Bank of the Iraqi elmarasi".

Baghdad/JD: A survey by Reuters//that Iraq still in 2nd Central OPEC reduced production this month though.

According to the survey that Iraq review its production this month by 400,000 barrels per day to 5 .3 million barrels per day but still high enough to keep Baghdad in second place within OPEC.

And American and European sanctions has removed Iran from the traditional position as the second biggest OPEC producer to third place after Iraq who benefit this year from a long-awaited plan to enhance export capacity.

Iraq has witnessed a decline in shipments of crude from the Northern fields around Kirkuk in August that nullified the impact of the increase came from the new export outlets and high production in the South.

ShawnW: Why would QE3 matter to us?

I have been watching the forums and chat and also had several people ask me this, so I thought I would post my opinion. This may ramble a bit as I have a couple of reasons why QE3 may be important.

So we will start by going back to the root of QE or Quantative Easing. The common definition is creating money out of thin air and injecting it into the economy to give it a jump start, similar to someone having a heart attack and when they heart stops they bring over the defibrillators to shock it back to life. They bring a box over that creates energy outside of the current system and inject that energy to the affected spot in hopes of shocking it back to life. In our situation they are using money to create that shock in our economy that is having a cardiac arrest.

Now so far they have given us the juice 2X to no avail, while it has made us jump and tingle for a bit there has been no lasting affect and we go back to a flat line economy. But still the Fed stands by the fact that QE will help our system....

So this now brings us to our scenario.

8-31-2012 Gypsy Vardo: Once this is an international traded currency, you will be able to exchange it for any other internationally traded currency including the USD at any bank that handles foreign exchange.

A RV does not automatically make the IQD an internationally traded currency. That is a process that Iraq is clearly pursuing on a parallel track.

Seems that the RV should happen first and the lifting of the sanctions following with international status almost immediately.

Twilight News : revealed a security source in the Iraqi police, Friday, suffered one of Certified Reference Ali al-Sistani to an assassination attempt in the area of Palestine Street in eastern Baghdad.

The source said in an interview with "Twilight News" that "unidentified gunmen opened fire silenced the car traveling toward a car supported Sistani Sheikh kissed Asadi on his way to perform the noon prayer and Asr in Hussienieh need Fatima neighborhood real estate area of Palestine Street in eastern Baghdad."

The source added that "The attack killed one companion Sheikh al-Asadi is not subjected to any harm," noting that "the security forces cordoned off the scene and opened an investigation to uncover the circumstances of the attempt."

Already hailed as 'the world's bravest orchestra' by Sky News Scotland's correspondent Jane Chilton, a group of young Iraqi musicians from across Iraq's religious and ethnic spectrum joined hands on Tuesday night to perform the National Youth Orchestra of Iraq's (NYOI) London debut at the South Bank Centre with lead cellist Julian Lloyd Webber.

The young mostly self-taught musicians, aged between 14 and 29 year olds auditioned via YouTube where Scottish Conductor Paul MacAlindin, acting also as the NYOI's Music Director, meticulously selected the most talented of the candidates.

Founded in 2008 by Zuhal Sultan when she was 17 year old, funding was secured from both the Kurdish and Baghdad governments, Crescent Petroleum, as well as the British Council and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of Great Britain.

Sultan has been actively promoting the power of music to facilitate the reconciliation of Iraq's various communities through initiatives led by UNICEF and UNESCO.

Iraqis have a lot of money and they need more shopping malls to spend it, according to the head of Investment Commission in Baghdad, Shakir al-Zameli.

Zameli said his commission has granted licenses for the construction of 46 new shopping malls in Baghdad by foreign firms and that "there is need for many more."

He said the commission was studying fresh offers by foreign firms for the construction of new malls.

"This number of malls is not enough to meet the rise in the purchasing power of Iraqi citizens," he claimed.

The fad is a sign that Iraqis, saddled with violence for years and still experiencing almost daily bombings and shootings, are prepared to move on and embrace ordinary pleasures - like stuffing their faces with pizza.

Iraqi entrepreneurs and investors from nearby countries, not big multinational chains, are driving the food craze. They see Iraq as an untapped market of increasingly adventurous eaters where competition is low and the potential returns are high.
