Miss Widner's News
Dear Students, Parents, Grandparents, and Staff,
I think we have our seasons flip-flopped, turn around! It just turned Fall but it definitely feels like the middle of Summer. Although, it will cool down by the end of the week.
As a reminder, please make sure you send back the following:
          *signed progress report
*electronically sign up for Student Led Conferences (SLC)
If you have any questions about the NWEA or Progress Report, please email or call your child's teacher,
On our school's website, we post our "And now a word from Rachel" video each week. Every Wednesday morning after announcements, the students and staff hear a "Word from Rachel." This goes along with our compassion/respect program from the Rachel Scott Family. These videos promote kindness, respect, and compassion. We encourage families to watch those videos at home as well.
Finally, as you know we are working on updated discipline procedures. if you have been  in the school, you have seen the discipline posters hanging in the hallways, by the bathrooms, and in the cafeteria. The teachers taught the updated procedures in the beginning of the year as well as continue to reteach the rules and procedures sometimes weekly! Mr. Slee and I also are going into the classrooms this week and showing staff pictures to all the students. Sadly, some students feel they do not have to obey a non-teacher, a parish staff person, a teacher assistant, etc... We are reinforcing the discipline rules and procedures, and we will be pointing out that ALL STAFF have the opportunity to enforce rules and procedures. Students must respect SELF, OTHERS, and ENVIRONMENT. We appreciate all our parents, students, and staff support off our updated discipline rules and procedures.

Have a great week!
Miss Widner
Principal
