Meet this year's DFF Artists!
Charlotte and Eric Strom

Many thoughts, words and feelings flow back and forth between the two of us as we begin to gain momentum on this particular artistic collaborative endeavor. Emotions intersect, connect and blossom as we search within our own hearts, minds and souls. We are trying to translate these deep, complex emotions into a language that is spoken internally to and by our eyes, and is interpreted by our minds. It is then imbued into our hearts, and it is converted into what actions we take with our souls. We put to use our combined artistic talents and passions with the hopes that in doing so, we may further influence and energize the minds, hearts, and souls of others.
Through introspection and reflection, visuals unveil and clarify themselves to us. We share these visions with each other. We speak to each other in images, of images. We layer our thoughts together. We immerse it all, and gather what goodness floats to the top. In those fleeting, netted moments we are able to harness inspiration just long enough to redirect it and set it free upon canvas.
This is an image of shared blessings with room enough for all. There is greatness in gathering. There is endless bounty, endless beauty, health and growth, and endless opportunity. We are raised collectively by solidarity in our common Humanity. In the distance the land and sky blur together as do our shared futures - elevated and extending into a brightness that is bold, comforting and uplifting.
It has been an honor for us to be invited to the table.
