Dr. Mercola ~ 18 Foods That Promote Muscle Growth and Definition

Recipe Corner ~ Pressure Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

New Product  ~ Anchor Salted and Unsalted Butter

One of the wonderful food traditions we enjoy every year around this time is Corned Beef & Cabbage. The very first recorded St. Patrick's Day parade took place right here in the U.S.A. in the mid-1700's, as millions of Irish immigrants poured into the country. The delicious dish became a staple of Irish Americans because it was much like their pork loin bacon back home....similar to our Canadian Bacon.

Our Corned Beef is 100% Grass-fed and free of MSG, nitrates, and dairy products. This old world meal is guaranteed to evoke the flavors and aromas of Dublin. Order Soon!

New Product in stock! We've just received shipment of Anchor Grass-fed Salted and Unsalted Butter. If you've never tasted Anchor Butter before, prepare for a real treat! This has been a favorite in New Zealand, Great Britain, India and many other countries and is now available right here at US Wellness Meats. Anchor butter from free range, grass-fed cows is higher in Omega 3, higher in Beta Carotene, higher in Vitamin A (when compared to traditional butter) and has a wonderful taste.

It's estimated that somewhere between 60-70 million Americans are struggling with some form of digestive disease or sickness. A healthy diet can help manage these issues, but it takes some effort to eat good food. Our farms raise 100% Grass-fed, Grass-finished beef, lamb, bison and dairy. Grass-fed meats contain an abundance of minerals and nutrients vital to a healthy gut. Keep these meats on your shopping list and try some new recipes when it's time for a culinary adventure. Your body will thank you!

Take the Unbound Wellness Free Gut Healing Challenge beginning Monday March 6, and begin the journey to a healthier, happier digestive system.

If you're looking for muscle growth and definition, there's no getting around exercise. However, you cannot exercise your way out of a poor diet, and when it comes to muscle definition, one of the keys is to lose body fat, or else you will not be able to see the muscles in the first place.

The common belief is that if you want to build muscle, you need to eat lots of protein and carbohydrates because carbs fuel your muscles and protein builds them up. However, the evidence that has emerged over the past several years shows us it's not that simple.

Customer Feedback
Pot Roast _ Gravy
On sale this week!

"Love it!"

"This pot roast is sooooo convenient and so delicious. It's hard to believe that I can actually buy a cut of meat that is grass-fed, healthy for me, pre-cooked and delicious. Sure, I would love it even more if it came with more gravy, but I know you can only get so much gravy out of a cut of meat.  Thank you John Wood for these great products!  You are making a real difference in the world."

Russ Crandall of The Domestic Man shares this recipe with us~ perfect timing for the upcoming St. Patrick's Day celebrations!

"The term "corned beef", as you have probably guessed, has nothing to do with corn. A logical conclusion would be that it is seasoned with peppercorns, but that's not the case, either. The secret is that in medieval times, "corn" was a description of salt when in a large-grain form. So really, it just meant salted beef, which is a process that has been around for thousands of years. The specific term "corned beef" is traced as far back as the 11th century in Ireland (600 years after St. Patrick was around, by the way)."
