Shipwrecked VBS at Immanuel
MON.-FRI., JUN. 18-22, 9-11:30 AM
Immanuel hosts this summer event for kids age 3 to those entering fifth grade the week of Jun. 18-22. At Shipwrecked VBS, kids discover that Jesus rescues them! They participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, devour yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love, and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through God Sightings. Each day concludes with the Sail Away Sendoff that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join us daily for this special time at 11:15 AM.

Kids at Shipwrecked VBS will join a missions effort to provide school supplies for local children in need. More than 100 volunteers work each year to provide this fun summer opportunity to learn more about Jesus for more than 300 children. To learn more, to register to volunteer, or to register a child click here .
Retirement Celebration & Staffing Update
SUN., JUN. 3, 9:30 AM
Immanuel will recognize the ministries of Terri Holmes, Barb Iteen, Sue Gutwein, Manny Gutwein--long-term workers in God’s kingdom. A reception will immediately follow this service, prior to the voters meeting.
STAFFING NEWS
As announced at last weekend’s worship services, a third Call Committee is being created for the purpose of calling a youth leader. Kari Larsen, Immanuel’s Director of Youth Ministries since 2004, is transitioning to Director of Family Ministries at ILCS. Kari is working with the middle and high school students through the summer while constructing her new family ministry plans for the upcoming ministry year.

A Visitation Ministry Coordinator is also being added to the ILCS staff. This individual will work with those involved in the Eucharistic Ministry who serve Immanuel’s shut-ins by providing Holy Communion, and others, to best serve this growing segment of the Immanuel community.

First Grade Call Committee has conducted three onsite interviews. Chairperson John Barry may be contacted at barry_john@outlook.com. Middle School Call Committee conducted four Skype interviews and has scheduled two onsite interviews. Chairperson Julie McFarland may be contacted at juliemc218@aol.com.

Please continue to keep this process, and everyone involved, in your prayers.

Immanuel Lutheran Church and School is an equal employment opportunity employer; however, because we are a church body, we retain the right to give preference in hiring to persons who are members in good standing of a Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod congregation.
The Results Are In!
The final tally is in! From preschool through eighth grade, ILS collected 4,143 Box Tops! Each Box Top Coupon is worth 10 cents, so this equals $414.30 in funding to the PTL to continue supporting our students and teachers, and parents.
