Local Author Book Fair
The next Fair will be taking place on
Saturday, June 4th from 11:00am-1:00pm.
Authors are invited to bring their books to promote independently and sell at Page 1 Books' Local Authors Fairs. The event will take place on Page 1 Books' front sidewalk underneath the shopping center's upstairs balcony, weather permitting.

New Mexican author Desirée Mays will join us at Page One on Thursday, June 16th at 6:00pm, to discuss the Santa Fe Opera's 2016 season, Opera Unveiled 2016.
Desirée Mays will introduce the newest edition of Opera Unveiled. Her lecture with musical excerpts will explore the many faces of love in The Santa Fe Opera's 2016 productions, which include La Fanciulla del West,Don Giovanni, Roméo et Juliette, Capriccio, and Vanessa. If you are undecided about what to see at the opera this summer Desirée can tell you what to expect. Love, romance, decadence, and war are the four keynote motifs.

This book is an introduction to an inter-world space, the boundary where death and life meet, the "space between worlds" that we encounter when we deal with the dead. We enter into it through a series of extraordinary processes in which the physical actions, the prayers, and the kavanah involved in Jewish death rituals open a window for us to glimpse this unique boundary.
