Good morning!

As I write this to you this morning, Stacie and about 60 other ladies from Discovery are preparing to head north to the Winter Chill Women's Retreat.  I am looking forward to hearing   stories when all of you return, because I know what an awesome weekend is planned! Praying that God will do amazing things in and through you all this weekend.

This Sunday we will be wrapping up our HEADLINES series with a look at  Hate, Rage and Vitriol. There is plenty of that going around!  We touched on the anger issue last week   and will get into the heart of the rage and hatred this week.

I hope that this series has challenged you, because it has challenged me. My hope is that each week has reminded us to look for ways to respond like Jesus.  And if we all did that ...  that would be   some headline!

See you on Sunday!

One Church Volunteers
As many of you know, Discovery is partnering with STADIA to start another daughter church in the region!  One Church is being started by Brandon Stephenson and his team and they will launch on Sunday, March 18th!  Brandon and his family have attended Discovery for the last year and a half as they have been preparing to start One Church in the Chartiers Valley.  And we couldn't be more excited!  Discovery wants to provide some extra volunteers to help them out in the early months in the areas of children's ministry and with the band.  If you would be willing to help out a few times in March, April or May, please let us know by marking your 'flap' on Sunday and we will be sure to get you plugged in.  Even if you can only help a couple of times, every little bit will help!  Questions?  Please contact the church office.
A Night To Remember Volunteer Opportunities
This is our 6th year of hosting ANTR!  This year's event is on Sunday, May 6 and can only happen because of the many volunteers from Discovery and surrounding communities.  There are lots of different ways to volunteer and spots are filling quickly so be sure to register before it is too late.  For more information or to register, visit antrpgh.com. All volunteers must attend training on Sunday, April 22.  For questions about being a buddy contact Jennifer Howell.  For questions about being a general event volunteer, contact Beth Huffman. If you want to have fun and make someone feel very special be sure to get involved!
Dress Shop Volunteers & Donation
We want all our guests to feel like VIPs at A Night to Remember.  Every year, we provide a FREE pop-up shop for our guests so they can find that special dress that makes them feel beautiful.  If you are able to help at the dress shop on April 15th, please sign up at antrpgh.com.  There are several positions to fill, from set up to assisting our guests.  You can also help by donating formal dresses at Discovery on Sunday, February 25th & March 6th, at both services.  For more information about volunteering or dress donation, please contact Sarah Matusek.

Coping To Thriving (Special Needs Support Group)
Monday, February 19 *  6:30 PM
Through events like A Night to Remember and A Day to Remember, we celebrate kids, men, and women in our community who are sometimes overlooked due to a variety of special needs. We want to continue to serve that community on a regular basis by providing a space for parents of special needs children to encourage and learn from one another.  Many families are simply coping with their unique challenges, but we want to help them start to thrive.  If you'd like to learn more, contact Tracy Mahmoud.
Discovery Unrestricted Group
We all have hurts, hang-ups, and habits that we wish we could shake. From battles with mental illness, addictions, difficult relationships, and other deep wounds, this is a group centered on authenticity, encouragement, and practical steps as we journey toward freedom, coping, and healing.   For every aching heart needing to know Gods love and grace: this is for you.   This group meets every 2nd and 4th  Monday each month and is led by Tanisha Faber and Mike Fullerton.     To sign up, or for more information, please contact Tanisha .
Infertility Support Group (Send your encouragement)
If your life has been touched by infertility of any kind, we'd love for you to share your story and encouragement.  One of the most difficult parts of infertility is feeling like you're the only one.  We would love for you to pray FOR us, but we would also love to hear FROM you. Indicate if you want to include your name, or leave anonymous. Responses will be compiled and given to the women in the group. Send all stories to Debbie Harrington.
