Cadwalder Crossing Update

Railroad crossing planks have been sucessfully pulled out and disengaged the signal system.  Today July 3, 2014 "whistle boards," will be removed which  they are located a quarter of a mile in either direction of the crossing. Starting tomorrow, there will be an issue notice to the FRA and our train crews that the crossing isn't currently active and that the train horn is not required.

Given that tomorrow is a holiday, it may take a few days, perhaps into early next week, before you will notice full ceasing of the train horns.  Either way, the routine sounding of the train horns at Cadwalder Street should cease entirely (barring an emergency or other issues) by mid next week.  It is important to note that the same process will apply for all crossing closures in the MCA & 5 points area.
