Message from District Director
Happy New Year and Welcome to the 2017/2018 Toastmasters year.

As we start this next chapter in our Toastmasters journey and we look forward, it will be my pleasure to service you, as the members of District 42, as your District Director.

My Vision for this year is to “Support the members of District 42 to become successful in achieving their own personal success and growth in their Toastmasters Journey” and to achieve the vision, mission “Listen, Lead and Empower the Members of District 42 to Champion their own journey.”

With my vision/ mission and our District Mission “We Build New Clubs and Support All Clubs in Achieving Excellence” your District Team will lead by example and empower you as members by providing opportunities to grow within your clubs and outside your clubs.

With the help of your Program Quality Director (Catherine Secundiak) and Club Growth Director (Dunstant Taylor), and their teams we will develop a District Success Plan that will allow us to empower the members to champion their own journey.

This year will be like no other year as it will be the year of LLEC, Listen, Lead, Empower and Champion our way to Success as a Distinguished District.
I look forward to meeting and working with as many of you as I can, and all the best as you start working towards your goals for this year. Just know that there is a community of Toastmasters Listen, Lead and Empower you to champion your Toastmasters journey.

Let’s go and have fun while we champion our journey to success.

John Bauer, DTM
District 42 Director, 2017/2018

Attention Club Executives...If you haven't already attended club officer training this round, please register for an upcoming COT session. We currently have 30% of our clubs with four or more club officers trained. We can do better! It is not only a great leadership training and networking experience, but also club officers can receive Distinguished Club Program (DCP) credit for attending. Please ensure that you physically sign in at the beginning of the COT session so that you can receive the credit.
Go for 7 out of 7!  If a club achieves 7 out of 7 club officers trained in both Round 1 (June 1 - Aug 31) and Round 2 (Dec 1 - Feb 28), the club will receive a “7 out of 7 Club Banner Ribbon”. Congratulations to SAIT Sayers (E28) and Golden Gavel (E19) for already having 7 out of 7 club officers trained this round!

Have Questions? Please email Catherine Secundiak, your Program Quality Director, at with any questions on club officer training.
