May - July 2017

Summertime is a welcome break for school-goers all over America. But it is also a time when many students, especially those from low-income communities, lose learning ground and access to healthy meals, and don't have opportunities to build skills and confidence. Gen2Gen San José in partnership with San José Public Library will shine a spotlight on these challenges. Our plan is to mobilize San José adults 50 years and older to volunteer in youth serving opportunities in 24 libraries around San José to help local kids thrive over the summer.
