The weather forecast looked grim for the four days we were to spend diving along the rugged Big Sur coast: 20-30 knots and 6-10' seas.  Fortunately the wind stayed just offshore for almost the entire time and we only saw winds over 15kts for a couple of hours.  The wind swell made for some bumpy rides and challenging surface conditions but the diving proved to be spectacular.   Often times the visibility was more than 50' and the underwater life... well you have to see it to believe it.  The days were sunny and the coastal scenery awesome.  On the last day the conditions calmed, leaving us wishing it wasn't time to head south. Oh well there is always next year.  For the adventurous diver this is a trip not to be missed.
