A lot of people ask us what can be done about joint pain. Is this something you struggle with? We see a lot of people on a regular basis and that seems to be something a lot of people deal with. I thought it would be helpful to send you a few reminders on how to manage and decrease your joint pain:
1) Lace Up: Moderate, low impact exercise is really important for improving joint mobility. Get moving for 30 minutes, three to five times per week. By doing this, joint strain can be lessened. Grab a buddy to exercise with, if that makes it easier (it also helps with accountability).
2) Find Balance: Diet fads aren't always the greatest idea...make a balanced eating plan with foods that you'll actually enjoy. Check with a registered dietitian or nutritionist if you need help creating a plan.
3) Consume More Joint-Protecting Nutrients: Recent scientific studies show glucosamine and chondroitin are safe and help improve joint comfort. Combination products, such as Nature Made TripleFlex are great. Look for products that contain 1,500 mg of glucosamine and 800 to 1,200 mg of chondroitin.
These are just a few things that can help. If you're still concerned about joint pain or need additional help, talk to one of us and let us get a plan created for you.
And if you have any other questions, please give us a call!
