On August 28, 2011 we held a vintage dance at the Alternative for Girls Shelter in Detroit.  This was likely  one of the most incredible events the residents, staff and volunteers have ever experienced.  People flew in from all over the country to help create this very special night.   

                Like Enchanted Makeovers, they too believe everyone has the

                                        "right to feel precious".  

Our work does not stop here!  In two weeks we are off to St. Paul, Minn to work with the Creative Connections crafters, gathering lovingly hand-made items that will be placed in a box "The Present" for the women and children of a local shelter.   When we return, the physcial transformation work will begin at Alternative for Girls.  That's 20 bedrooms, a sewing room, a therapy room and telephone room!  Our goal is to complete the work by the beginning of November. 

Now we need your help!  We are still a 100% volunteer, no salary organization so your help and participation is critcal.  Monetary donations are desperately needed at this time.  For example, we have had to turn-away gifts/donations because we have outgrown our storage unit.  To be able to do this work, each month Enchanted Makeovers needs to be able to pay for support services like the telephone bill, storage units, postage/shipping, travel, volunteer coordination etc.
