This Shabbat is referred to as Shabbat Pesach. It is unusual that the Shabbat Pesach is not on one of the lesser energy days of Pesach called Chol Hamoed. (Please note lesser energy days are still quite powerful). When Day One of Pesach occurs on Shabbat it is an indication of additional support provided by Shabbat. This will be revealed to all of us in the coming days. Of course when this additional energy is used to assist us to strengthen our use of the tool called Binding by Striking there will be less manifestation of chaos in OUR lives.
(Binding by Striking is best learned by listening to recordings (or listening again) on the yeshshem website. It is class 5 and 6 of the Basic Class. Binding by Striking is a technique to stop your reactions and delve into the true internal reason behind why you react the way you do. When this is understood it allows you to change your desire to receive for oneself alone into a desire to receive in order to share. The result is a life which is more fulfilled with joy and happiness and less fulfilled with chaos.)
There are a total of 39 Verses of Torah being read on this Shabbat. 29 from the Torah reading and 10 from the Maftir. We will discuss these energies below.
The Torah reading is Exodus Chapter 12 Verses 21 to 51. These appear in the regular weekly Parasha of Bo in the 5th and 6th Aliyot. (An Aliya is referring to one of the 7 people called UP to the Torah during the Sabbath reading).
The fifth Aliya is connected to the Sephira of Hod and represents potential or spiritual manifestation. The sixth Aliya is connected to the Sephira of Yesod and represents the creative process that actually does the manifesting. So we see that this "additional" reading is giving us another opportunity to connect to the energy of Bo. Here are links to my previous four years of emails teaching about the energy of Bo:

I suggest you spend some time learning about the energy of Bo as it will help you understand the Energy of Shabbat Pesach.
What is the simple story of the Torah reading? It consists of "The taking control of the Lamb" (Verse 21); The creation of the protection shield called Mezuzah (Verse 22 and 23); The 10th Plague - The killing of the First Born of Egypt including the Animals (Verse 29); Pharaoh casting out the Children of Israel to serve Hashem (Verse 30); The bringing of Chametz by the Children of Israel when they left Egypt (Verse 34); The bringing of the borrowed wealth of Egypt (Verse 35 and 36); The association of the Erev Rav (Verse 38); The making of Matzah (Verse 39); A discussion of the time spent in Egypt (Verse 40); The recommendation to keep vigil on the 15th of Nissan (The Rabbi's have taught us to have a Seder as part of that vigil) (Verse 42); And the laws (Chukim - laws man is unable to understand) of Pesach (Verse 43).
After reviewing this list of "stories" can anyone imagine there is not a lot of energy available in this reading?
For additional information about any of the above subjects see previous years emails in the links below or send an email to yeshshem@hotmail.com.
The essence or energy of the Parasha
All of the stories listed above have one essence. Develop Trust in Hashem. Actually it is not developing trust it is actually demonstrating and manifesting Your Certainty in the Goodness of Hashem. Lets see how this applies to some of these stories.
1. Taking control of the Lamb. In the time of the Exodus the Lamb or Ram is the God of Egypt. Can you imagine a slave going to his master and saying i am going to slaughter your God in 4 days. Will you demonstrate that much Trust in Hashem in your life? How? By having the certainty that whenever science does not agree with the Torah; Know that eventually a reconciliation of these truths will be revealed.
2. Mezuzah removes death as taught in Kabbalah. Will you leave your home unlocked or your car? Knowing that if someone needs something of yours they are welcome to borrow it, even without your direct consent. Because you know that Hashem will provide for your needs, just as he is using you as a channel to provide for the person who is taking your possessions.
3. The children of Israel being cast out of Egypt. Will you leave your comfortable homes to go to a country where there is always a direct risk of war and annihilation? That is what it means to make Aliya to Israel. In fact there is a Halacha (a regulation) that says we need to have our bags packed to leave for Israel at a moments notice. The true children of Israel will show you there packed bag if you ever ask them.
Do not be concerned if you do not yet have this level of certainty. We all are in a process of growth and learning. This reading on Shabbat gives us additional energy to break out of the limitations (Our Egypt) that we create. It does not mean that we are there at this level yet. 2500 years ago the Children of Israel were not ALL at this level yet either. They went " en mass". Today we need to reach this level individually, one step at a time. Please just give these ideas some thought, as you enter the Second Seder tonight, after this reading.
The second Seder is not just a redo. It is another opportunity to connect to the energy of Certainty and manifest it in you!r life.
Let me know what you think even if it is to tell me i am Meshugah (Crazy).
Now as i mentioned above we will review the meaning of the gematria of 29 Verses and 39 Verses. 29 is the gematria of a Hebrew word that means pitcher or jug. This hints to the Astrological sign of Aquarius - the water pitcher. Kabbalah teaches that Aquarius is connected to the "coming of Mashiach". This is also true of the gematria of the number 39 (coming from the 29 verses plus the 10 verses from the Maftir) which spells the Hebrew word Tal or dew. All of this is teaching or hinting to the teaching of the connection of the Redemption from Egypt being manifested again in our generation. May it happen immediately, as we all say Amen.
(This teaching of the relationship between Aquarius, Dew, Mashiach, and Redemption comes from the Sages of the Talmud explaining many of the Verses of the Torah, Prophets, and Writings within the Bible.)
A Deeper Kabbalistic Analysis of How the Torah Reading gives you strength!
Lets look at Verse 12:27, here it is:
ואמרתם זבח-פסח הוא ליהוה אשר פסח על-בתי בני-ישראל במצרים בנגפו את-מצרים ואת-בתינו הציל ויקד העם וישתחוו English that ye shall say: It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, for that He passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when He smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses.' And the people bowed the head and worshiped.
Kabbalah teaches that there are many levels of understanding in the Torah and one should never just read the Torah literally. If you look at the first letters of the third, fourth, and fifth Hebrew word, you will see פהל. This is the 20th Name in the 72 Names of God. It has a Gematria of 115 which is the same as the word Chazak חזק
Chazak is a Hebrew word that means strength. So you see that underneath the simple story of Passover, the Torah Reading is transferring the energy of strength to us.
Why do we need this energy of strength? In order to overcome our innate nature of the Desire to Receive for Oneself alone. (Most people interpret this phrase to refer to selfishness, yet Rabbi Ashlag uses this phrase and not the word that means selfishness for a reason that is too long to explain in this email. This is why i continually use the two phrases desire to receive for oneself alone and desire to receive in order to share. They are not selfishness and they are not altruism.)
Yet that is not all that we are receiving from this one verse. The first letters of the next three words (the sixth, seventh, and eighth) gives us פאע . This word translates as "Anger of the 70". It is referring to the actions of Antisemitism. It also has a gematria of 151 which is the gematria of the word Mikva. Mikva is a cleansing process that will eventually lead to Mashiach as taught in Kabbalah.
What do i learn from the Discussion Above?
The teachings of Kabbalah about antisemitism being a wake up call for the Children of Israel as well as a cleansing against the desire to receive for oneself alone is being reinforced by this true understanding that the listening to the Torah Reading provides the protection shield i need for the next week and sometimes like the reading for a Holiday which only comes once a year, for the next year.
Please make it your business to hear the Torah read every week. There is nothing stronger in your life than listening on Shabbat Morning. The Kabbalists teach that without this reading, each week, you have no chance in the war against your desire to receive for oneself alone!
Enjoy the reading on Shabbat.
