Tabitha was born in Moultrie, Georgia on March 4, 1974. She received her Bachelors of Psychology Degree from Albany State University in 1996 where she graduated with honors. After receiving an academic scholarship, Tabitha attended Ohio Northern University Law School, wherein she served as an editor for the Women's Law Journal. Later, she transferred to and graduated from the Walter F. George School of Law in Macon, Georgia in 1999. She previously worked as an Insurance Defense Attorney for the firm of Clyatt, Clyatt & Golden in Valdosta, Georgia.
Upon leaving Clyatt, Clyatt & Golden, she joined a partnership limited to real estate and personal injury law. In addition to practicing law, Tabitha has worked as an adjunct professor (since 2007) for Kaplan University and Albany State University, wherein she teaches various pre-law and government classes.
Ms. Ponder is also a member of the Georgia Bar Association, wherein she currently serves on the Committee for "Main Street Lawyers", American Bar Association, Georgia Criminal Defense/ Trial Attorneys, Georgia Black Women Attorneys (GABWA), The Commerce Club and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She has three children, A'maya C. Solomon, Lester C Solomon, II and Zachary C. Solomon.
