Morning Beginner Manners
Saturdays, 10-11 am, July 18th - Aug. 29th
(no class Aug. 15th) - $125.00
Having a well behaved dog is about so much more than just obedience. While this class focuses primarily on obedience, we also take the time to problem solve trouble behaviors and work on fun tricks for your dog. This class is perfect for dogs who have recently been adopted, need a refresher class or are new to training. We will cover behaviors such as: sit, down, place, stay, leave it, touch and recall.
Advanced Obedience &
Canine Good Citizen Prep.
Saturdays, 11:30-12:30, July 18th - Aug. 29th
(no classes Aug. 15th) - $150.00
The American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Program encourages responsible pet ownership and good manners for dogs. For many, this is the first step in becoming a certified therapy dog. This class offers the training needed to pass the certification, from sitting politely for greeting, advanced obedience and supervised separation. This class will help guide you and your dog in the direction to becoming a canine good citizen. Test is included in the class.
Intro to K-9 Nose Work
Saturdays, 3-4 pm,
July 18th - Aug. 29th
(no classes Aug. 15th) - $125.00
K-9 Nose Work is a dog sport that utilizes a dogs natural searching and hunting abilities. Inspired by working detection dogs, this fun class teaches your dog to hunt for their favorite or toy among boxes. Target odors are then introduced to make it even more challenging. As each dog progresses, more boxes are added. The search becomes more difficult when we take it outside, add new containers, expand to full rooms and even to vehicles! The structure of this class is such that each dog works independently making it a great option for the shy, nervous, newly adopted or reactive dog.
Individual consultations are available
for $60 per hour.

Classes will be held for one hour on Saturdays for 6 weeks.

Individual Consultations: $60 per hour or $30 per 1/2 hour

If you adopted your dog from LRHS in the past 3 months,
you will be awarded $25 off the cost of a 6 week Group Class OR
50% off an Individual Consultation.
Register 2 dogs and get $25 off the second dog.

Please be prepared to provide current documentation for your "student":
- Rabies Vaccination
- Distemper Vaccination
- Kennel Cough Vaccination (preferred but not required)
- Negative Fecal Results
Payments are non-refundable. Classes will run rain or shine in our Multipurpose room or in our grassy fields.
Space is limited to 6 dogs per class, so get your registration forms and payments in soon to secure your spot.
