Mozart's greatest opera Don Giovanni explodes on the Festival Stage this Saturday at 7PM.

The celebrated cast includes Louis Otey and Kerry Henderson as Don Giovanni and Leporello, Maria Todaro as Donna Elvira, Michelle Jennings as Donna Anna, Morris Robinson as the Commendatore and Barry Banks as Don Ottavio.

The Woodstock Chamber Orchestra is conducted by Metropolitan Opera Maestro Steven White.

Don Giovanni will be performed in Italian with Supertitles giving a running translation into English, making the opera accessible and fun for all. Perfect for first time opera goers.

Bring a picnic, a blanket or lawn chair, a bottle of your favourite wine or champagne and enjoy opera under the stars, on the new Festival Stage in the Parish Field, between the foothills of Mt Tremper and the mighty Esopus Creek.

INVEST

Numerous studies have shown that successful arts festivals have a positive economic effect on their communities. The Spoleto Festival in Charleston, for instance, brings well over $70 Million  into its regional economy each year.  Arts events also help  give hope and uplift the spirits of people and raise people's pride in their community.

The Phoenicia International Festival of the Voice operates on a shoestring budget, aided by much good will from our artists and community.

We do need financial assisatnce, though.  Our technical needs are growing by the day. We need to finance aspects such as top level lighting and sound, our orchestral shell and staging. Our orchestras need to be paid, as well as the immense cost of publicity materials and marketing.

Invest in bringing world class vocal performances to the heart of the Catskills  and in so doing uplift our local community, and regional economy.
