As we enter the last month of summer, Chris Anderson encourages you to not be a mud puddle!  He also explores three important relationships for each Teammate to pursue in order to help prevent that.  Check out the August EMI Equipper to get the details.

We also invite you to watch and share previous Equippers available on our Equipper Page .

As we enter August, we are also launching our
7th Annual AMP Drive.  The AMP Drive helps us meet our fiscal year expenses (fiscal year ends Aug 31), build our funding base for the coming year, and thank our faithful monthly donors.

This year, we are praying for $18,500 in giving during the month of August to help us finish our year "in the black."  To meet this, Teamwork will definitely be required.  Will you make an investment in our mission, helping us end this year and begin the next in a healthy place financially?  For AMP Drive details and to make a gift, please visit our AMP Drive page.
Huddle & Event Celebrations

Phoenix, AZ Huddle:

The Phoenix Huddle recently held their annual Huddle Training Retreat in Flagstaff, AZ. This  is a weekend event where the huddle, their families, and friends get together to camp, train, fellowship, and be in God's Word together. The Huddle has been organizing the retreat for the past eight years, and it's something they look forward to each year. Over the course of the weekend, group training is offered in mountain biking, road biking, trail running, road running, and lake swimming. The format of the weekend also allows down time to do whatever you want on your own or with family - fishing, hiking, napping, kayaking etc. Each evening a lesson or conversation about living out your faith is shared around the camp fire gathering. What a great way to build each other up! Thank you to Phoenix Huddle leaders John and Debbie Foster for your commitment to building disciples!

null Southwest Florida Huddle:

The Southwest Florida huddle has become a group of primarily open-water swimmers. Each year the group participates in "Swim-Around-Key West" to raise money for the Haven of Hope orphanage in Bolivia. This year's swim was cancelled due to high waves. Although participants did not get to swim the 12.5 miles this year, the Coast Guard did allow a two mile race. Thank you to Huddle Leaders Thomas Pear and Lori Robbins for your leadership and faithful service to the ministry.

Ironman Boulder Iron Prayer:

Thank you to Doug Barkema and Heather Gollnick for your service in hosting our second Iron Prayer at this event.  Both Doug and Heather shared, and then athletes gathered together to pray for one another.  It was an encouraging time of worship, refocusing athlete's attention back on what matters most.

If you will be at an upcoming Ironman or 70.3 and would like to help serve in hosting an Iron Prayer, please contact our Iron Prayer Coordinator Robin Soares.

Silver Rush 50 MTB Race:

In July, Teammates from South Dakota and Colorado gathered in Leadville, CO for one of the toughest 50 mile mountain bike races around.  They spent the weekend worshipping through fellowship, service, and racing.  They also hosted a pre-race prayer on race morning.

Many of the athletes are up for round two next week, when they gather for the infamous Leadville Trail 100.  If you'll be there, contact Chris Anderson to get plugged-in.

Northern Black Hills FCA Camp:

Each summer, FCA holds various student camps around the world.  These camps provide a great opportunity for student athletes to improve in their sport, but more importantly, to have a powerful experience with the Lord.

This past June, 3 Teammates served together at the week-long camp in the Black Hills of South Dakota: Great Falls Huddle Leader Joel Auers, along with Sioux Falls Teammates Bill Brockmueller and Chris Anderson.  This year's camp had 253 campers, 32 huddle leaders (college athletes), 48 staff members, 14 spouses, and 40 staff children at an age of understanding.  It was a powerful week, resulting in 18 first-time commitments and 78 recommitments to Christ!

Please be praying for these athletes as they finish their summer and prepare to head back to school.  Also, please be praying about student athletes who you know who could be blessed by a powerful FCA Camp experience.  For more information, visit the FCA Camp site.
